AMPs that are actually clean and hygienic?

I went to check out Sole Spa, Freya Spa and Gold Swan over the weekend and all of them smell super stinky. There's this musty, humid and rancid smell that reeks the moment you open their doors and it's always attempted to be covered up with some cheap perfume. Freya Spa smelt the worst. I literally got a headache from staying there for 5 mins and had to leave.

Does anyone have recommendations for massage places that offer FS that don't smell and is actually clean? Even Atlantis doesn't smell as bad as those spas I've mentioned above and Atlantis has questionable hygiene practices.

Many thanks in advance!

I got a whole list of 'em:
Haha very funny, I got the joke. But for real, there has to at least be some that use common sense and have basic cleanliness no? I've partaken in this hobby around the world and Vancouver's hygiene standards are worse than some 3rd world countries. I went to Hot Springs Spa as well and the room was a literal cupboard 😂

Try Happy World in New West or Lily’s in North Van. Lily’s has two locations. I’ve been to the original and can vouch that they keep it clean, but haven’t been to their new VIP location with more amenities.

Thanks, do you have any recommendations for around Richmond? Or are there any places in South Vancouver? I Google mapped it but can't seem to find anything there :/

Not sure if your standards can be met in Richmond unless you visit an agency or condo. There’s Aegean spa on South Main, but recent reviews have not been inspired.

I’ve only walked into Freya to view the lineup and been once to Sole; neither were particularly offensive to me at the time. Atlantis though, I found to be almost skid-row like; so our standards may be misaligned…

The only other suggestion I would make is Swan Lake. Tina runs a pretty right ship there but they are also high volume. I’ve never noticed any egregious scents there but your sensitivity to smells may be higher than mine. Good luck.

Thanks for the suggestions. I went to check out those places on Friday lunch time and the whole area was pretty busy. I'll probably have to try an agency in Richmond. Everyone talks about Swan Lake but I prefer places with a little less volume. Yeah I'm probably sensitive to smell but nonetheless thank you for your suggestions 🙌

I love swan lake and even though it is much cleaner and even renovated ( since end of lockdown 2020 era ) now a days , Sole spa and Tokyo feel cleaner to me , so if Sole didn’t pass your test I doubt swan would.
That scent you mention, I know it . When I first started frequenting MP’s I would always notice it whenever I walked into literally any of the ones I went to .
My theory is a mix of damp towels & laundry mixed w the the smell of wood ( which there is a lot of in most MP’s ) and moisture .

Thank you for your suggestions. I'll probably give them another chance, maybe I just went on a busy day. And yes you have described the smell, it's that woody musky and damp humid smell

I've never been to Freya. Been to Dragon 3 or 4 times but not in the past 2 years. I visited Sole on Sunday and was also there a month ago. I can't say as I noticed any untoward smells. However I do wonder about the same likely causes; showers and laundry. There's I believe 6 rooms there each with a shower. They request clients shower before each session. I'm thinking at least 50% of clients take advantage of the shower at the end of the session to wash off any oil, sweat etc. The girls always shower at the end of the session. In the case of my Sunday vist Ashley also showered at the start of the session. That's 4 showers, albeit maybe only 2 minutes each, within an hour. Over the course of a day with many 30, 45 & 60 minute sessions that's a lot of moisture in the air. I don't think any rooms have fans except maybe the bathroom(s). On top of that there's the frequent laundry that comes with all the towels and table bedding.

I think if there are noticeable musty smells they are ironically a product of constant efforts at cleanliness (showering and laundry), lack of ventilation (no fans in rooms) and the floorplan (several massage rooms off 1 narrow hallway). I've noticed when rooms are not in use the doors are left open which likely partly to let the moist air out. Of course with the front and back doors closed and no open windows there's nowhere for it to go other than into the hallway and lobby.

If you would consider a slightly higher end and more private experience, we take the cleanliness of our incalls very seriously.

Spray shower top down with cleaner and wipe with a squeegy downwards. then rinse. Best thing is a hand held shower wand.
Dehumidifier? With an odor/neutralizer added to water.

Those essential oil diffusers will put oils into everything. The air tends to have a oily feel to it. People using them over time, don't notice the oils in air, but if you don't use them, you can smell/feel the oil in the air.

So I just wanna make sure I’m correct on what you’re advocating.
Are you suggesting taking a squeegy to the AMP , then Squeegying the shower in the MP before showering ?
