"Amateurs" LOL

Am I the only one who gets a good belly laugh when I see ladies advertising that they are "amateurs" but listing their fees and services openly in the same ad? Last time I checked amateurs in the sporting and other worlds didn't get paid to play.........

I see one lady advertising now as a "bona fide amateur" Perhaps because she styles her fees as " donations" it makes a difference

I suspect they are attempting to indicate they are part timers.

Good for a chuckle though.

The only ones I ever believe are amateurs are the ones who post a week before rent is due on BP etc. Always with cell phone pics reflecting in the bathroom mirror.

Amateurs with a full website, ah no, not believable.

Toilet seat up, towels on the floor, hairspray on the counter. I have even seen some with kitty litter in the corner!! That shit drives me CRAZY (no pun intended)....Enough with the "bathroom series".

While "amateur" isn't literally true, she is definitely worth visiting. She has a good sense of humour, so she may well get a chuckle from this thread. It isn't as though a degree of exaggeration or truth-adjustment is uncommon in this biz.

My few interactions with the lady on the board have been positive. She appeared to have a sense of humor to me as well.

She clearly means part-timer, not amateur. There is a disconnect in the lexicon here. It's not the end of the world. Another provider for some time called her rates page the "altruism" which means unselfish regard for the welfare of others, not what she intended. It's since changed and I didn't say a word, I knew what she intended and it was only going to make her feel bad to point out the error.

While I am cynical and even sarcastic, I cut the well-intentioned some slack on these things. I think a pm or email to point out the disconnect would have been a better choice than calling them out publicly.

Now, the pimps and morons on ERS and elsewhere who say it's their first day for 3 months, they deserve every bit of the sarcasm and derision they get.

mitch, for once i disagree with you... somebody going to UNIVERSITY should absolutely know the difference between 'part-timer' and 'amateur'... just sayin'
