I tried to set something up with whoever is on the other end of the phone for the person pictured in this ad. Asked, politely, for rates and location. When I was told the location was a south end hotel that's famous for the old bait and switch, I called fake and asked for a selfie with a hand gesture. The person on the phone declined, saying "I'm real, pics are real". I gave them one last chance and when they couldn't provide what I asked for I told them thanks but no thanks and ended the conversation. At one point I asked if she'd ever been reviewed, offered to just go look that up and got no response.
I know that many providers want to sell content and refuse to send any non paid for pictures, I get that and understand that side of the business, but when all I'm asking for is verification of the ad, a picture that is non-sexual and of no value, it shouldn't be that hard to do, or refused. If you're the real deal, it takes about 10 seconds to pick up your phone, snap a pic and send it through text. For well known, well reviewed SP's, I would never request additional pics or reviews.
It's well past time that we, the consumers, stopped allowing fake advertising.
