I just saw this Nextfic show the other night and was blown away. It has everything that I look for in a good Sifi show..The future worldview is great but far from what the future will really be,but we like the fantasy.

It is a lot more the blade runner and has some great teams which interest me.Of course I have all ready made my own story of what's happening after only seeing two episodes.. . It would be great I was right.

They call this new SiFi cyber punk based on the visuals from Japanese anemia. I used to watch a lot of that stuff..Ghost in the shell being the ultimate but there were some other great ones to

I am looking forward to watching more if Altered carbon

I found it took about 4 episodes to hit its stride and then it really picked up! That sexy Latina is indeed pretty hot and so is the Asian one who seems to have some kind of incestuous obsession with Tak.

Actually cyberpunk is much older than the Japanese anime you are referring to. I first heard the term when William Gibson (yes, Vancouver's own scifi author) released Neuromancer in 1984. Gibson was considered the father of cyberpunk by the scifi community in the 80s though the article below credits authors like Philip K Dick (some of his works were made into famous scifi movies such as "Blade Runner", "Minority Report", "The Adjustment Bureau", "Paycheck" and "Total Recall") and a few other authors that predate Gibson.
