Could anyone watch that? I took in about fifteen minutes and had to give up. I thought the attempt to vote Rory Fitzpatrick in was a disgrace, but I really had forgotten how much of a joke the all-star game is. The final was 12 -9 or maybe 15 - 11. Who cares. Even the highlight goals were boring. WOT.

Didn't watch a second.

The Vote for Rory was a bit of fun, but it had some positive to it. It showed the NHL as what it has become - a joke. Unfortunately, it put Rory in a bit of a bind. Fortunately, it appears (conspiracy wise) that, before they fucked with the votes, he may have actually made it in. Therefore, Buttman and his gang of stupid fucks have finally seen how stupid their system is, and will try to fix it for next year. Of course, they'll likely fuck it up even more.

This gang of idiot owners fucked the game with stupid high salaries. Then they fucked it with a lockout (overall salaries are apparently about the same as they were pre-lockout, although more evenly distributed throughout the league), costing we the Fans a season. Then they fucked with the rules to try and get back the audience that they lost.

On the other hand, now that thinking about hitting a guy is worthy of a two minute rest, the No-hit Allstar Game might become representative of the actual regular games.

Buttman says that attendance is comparable to last year. What he doesn't say is that while many rinks are at capacity most nights, many more are sucking wind.

Now Buttman, and the gang of thieves that owns him, fuck over the fans once again, by staying with this stupid scheduling system. Not only does your favorite team not play every team in the league, as has been the case for decades, but the fucking scheduler sets it up so that you see the same fucking team three or four times in a month.

At least we have a fairly decent division to watch (Northwest), but I'll bet that the folks in Detroit are really thrilled about seeing St Louis four times a year. Other than the easy eight points.....

With this dumbass schedule, if a guy like Crosby gets the flu on the night that he is supposed to play in western conference city X, then the fans in city X will get to see him play once every six years.

And they're trying to grow the fan base? By treating ticket holders like this?

Get rid of at least six teams. Have at least a "home and home" schedule with every team. Get out of the "Sun Belt", they never have cared about hockey, they don't care about hockey, and they never will care about hockey. Get rid of the "Gee, I think he waved his stick at that guy, it must be a penalty" rule. Fire half of the officials, and go back to the one referee system.

Most of all, get rid of Buttman. He's a minor league basketball exec, who has no chance of making the NHL a force in the states.

Rant over. Thanks for reading.

I love hockey, always have, but the NHL is getting really fucked up. I really hope that they can fix it before Major Junoir is more relevant than the NHL.

Thanks, I did feel better after I posted it.

Not as good as I did after having Vienna as a pre dinner appetizer the other night, nor as good as I did after Mischa took me deep for dessert a few hours later, but I did feel good.

I thought that Jeremy Roenick had an interesting proposal when he said that he'd like the maximum salary to be five million dollars, however there was the option to pay as much players on one team that option. This way, teams like Tampa Bay could afford to have kept Habibulin.
