I know Alex Taylor who visits BOA quite regularly and stays for a few days to a week at a time is from Victoria and advertises on Victoria Leolist. She is well worth seeing. I don't know if that is the same Alex that you are looking for, but I've seen her at BOA in Nanaimo and had a great time.
