Age only matters if you're a cheese...or does it?

I really understand where you are coming from, Erica. There are too many assumptions made about age; if a young fellow sees an age of 55, and he has a 'gramma' fetish, he may very well be disappointed to arrive at the session and not be greeted with fine lines, crows feet, and grey hair, and a fellow in his 70s might see 55 as young, but, if she has aged quickly, and poorly, then he might be disappointed. So many variables.

Age is more of an attitude thing, eh? Like, I have seen men and women who seemed (and often, as a result looked) older than they were due to their attitude towards life, (and booze and drugs don't help) and I've met men and women who I couldn't believe were as old as they said because they were happy, and with that, full of energy, sense of humour etc.

Age is more of a decade thing, it takes about a decade to get into the age...each decade unwraps a new attitude towards life. I love my decade; I love the carefree, not bogged down, feeling. I don't look at every date with the mindset of "...is this gonna be the one? Have I met my soul mate?"
I usually scope out the territory and wonder, if he is young "is he too fidgety and will I have to tie his hands down so I can enjoy his cock at my leisure?", or, if he is older "Does that belly mean he has abused the booze and cigs so much I might need to splint it so it doesn't bend in half trying to get it in?"... but, there are young guys who are very mature in bed, and there are old guys who haven't learned a thing in all their years, and need their hands tied down.
I always preferred older men, but, sadly, when cruising through the dating sites you can see that most of 'em aren't in great physical shape and that translates into poor stamina, so, when the young'uns send out the invitations it does get tempting.
Enough rambling...Erica, you are sure to get your target market, which is, a guy who wants that 'decade' and isn't gonna freak about a year or two either side of the coin...so, if you put 48 and he automatically adds 5 years...no biggie..there's little difference looking in the mirror in a five year period, and the kind of person who agonizes over that isn't someone who would be fun in bed...cause, they would agonize over all the little things...
I kind of agree. To an extent it doesn't matter if age is defined by a decade. There's really only three groups with two being specialty SP ages like late teens and over 50.

A guy looking for the youngest legally possible has an itch to scratch that only an 18 or 19 year old can fix. A 22 yr old may be over the hill.
The 50's is a specialty age where bodies look good only when fully clothed but some guys dig that and good for them. That guy actually does prefer his woman to look more like a cheese than an athletic babe.

I just like them to look hot and be in good shape. I can find that from 20 to 40.
If an early 30's yr old advertises as early 20's I'm not going to get bent out of shape. She's probably still just as hot or hotter than she was at 20. I've seen a couple of advertisers on here in there 20's with killer bodies and I'm sure they'll have another decade and a half of looking good.

The lost decade is the 40's when genetics finally throws in the towel, there's no more free lunch. You have to earn it from here on out but don't hold your breath, it won't last long. Its possible to find a hottie in her 40's but she didn't get that way by sitting on her ass. She is a much rarer bird, a holy grail maybe.

For me a woman in her 50's pretending to be early 40's is a far bigger offense than a 30yr old pretending to be early 20's. Embrace your golden years and prepare for your new clientele

That's just it, darling...that's the point you're failing to see. ALL of my clientele is new clientele. I am a 48 year old woman who has embraced my middle years...my forties...after having spent my 20s in one monogamous relationship, and was in another one for my 30s and 40s. I am still in my first year in the industry. And having such a broad and diverse base is a wonderful thing. I'm not your thing, obviously, nor do I want to be. No harm, no foul. And once again, crossing a decade by more than 8 years is really pushing it. I'm going to continue to seek out discriminating gentlemen that appreciate me for what I know as much as what I am...

I have seen 20 yr olds who look 50 and 50 year olds who look 20. I too love Douglas Adams...of course.

"I like you, because you remind me of me and I'm a narcissist."

This needs to be a greeting card :D
Something like this...?

PS I came to the game later in life and had absolutely no expectations of the popularity I'd enjoy. I'm extremely grateful that I have something the fellas still want (is it my milkshake?), both older and younger. I know my days aren't unlimited and I just can't stay around much longer...but I plan to enjoy it for as long as I can!

Just putting it out there - not all SPs make themselves younger, but they may not advertise their actual age either.
When I first joined the industry I was 19, thus I advertised as 19 as anything younger would be illegal here. I had a big problem with a lot of my clientele as they assumed that since I was advertising in my late teens, I would be a naive bimbo. I couldn't stand it. I took a break from the business and came back when I was 20, but I advertised as 21 because I liked having a bit more distance from the dumb young cheerleader stereotype. I'm 21 now and sometimes I still wish I could get away with advertising as 25; some men just don't respect the younger girls as they would a more mature SP.

Thanks for putting this on the table SL.

For my 0.02 being younger than advertised age is a worry. Older? n/p

And while not germane to this site, any 25 yr old would benefit from the attention of a 50 yr old lover IMHE

Unfortunately, fudging of ages is a bit like an arms race. You have to do it because everyone else is doing it. If you buck the trend, you put yourself at a disadvantage.

To be honest, my 50+ years on the planet has made me realize that women in their late 20s to late 30s are in their prime. They have shaken most of the baggage their mothers have saddled them with and are still firm and smooth enough to rock your world. Many guys haven't figured that out yet because they think 30 is old. That is because of all the 45 year olds passing themselves off as early 30s. There are also many women in their 40s who are in good shape (better than me), who have skills and are able to relate to me in a way a twenty-something, or even a thirty-something can't.

Of course, 19 and 20 year olds have breasts undiscovered by gravity and shrink wrap on their thighs. They have to be eye candy to make up for their inability to relate to an old guy like me and their relative lack of skills. However they can be a treat if one is in the mood for a 30 min quicky.

^Summerlove...I once sat beside a 21 year old escort while she was looking through her emails, and I was shocked at the disrespectful, foul attitudes in the letters. I was about 25 years older at that point, and I rarely had any mail that stupid...I felt sorry for her...to read that shit every day would sour a young gals attitude toward men pretty darn fast.

Aging out...I decided to go because the industry is getting too risky, health wise, but there are some gals in their sixties and seventies who still make a good living. You don't have to have a large client base, because you have so little competition at your age, so it all works out.

what makes me cackle like a hen is these fellows who write about the escort they see who said she was 28, but she's at least 31...AGHAST!!!...3 whole years!

Nicely said, Mimi. One of the things about this industry is there's someone for everyone (well mostly). If we are good to each other, everything seems to work out. It sounds like you look back at your days as an escort with fond memories. I want to feel the same way when that day comes. For now, I shall enjoy being a big fish in a small pond!

Exactly mimi!

I was advertising as 47 until the day I turned 48. I wanted to know did it matter? I'm building clientele that will age out along with me, I hope. I've had a lifetime to learn what I know, but I'm in my first year in the industry...and I can probably still remember the first names of most of the clients I've seen (or the name they booked me with, anyway..) Plus there will be an ever expanding group of men coming into my demographic as I move forwards. I'm not 50s trying to pass for early 40s; I'm not late 40s trying to pass for late 30s. I'm 48.
