I'm gonna go ahead and say this thread has gone off the rails.

I tried to bring it back to the simple question I asked but it seems people will take any opportunity to start a debate and make sure they are heard. Not everything is a soapbox moment. Sometimes, you either are for something or against it. We don't always need to know the reasons why Keep that shit to yo self son!

I do have a question though. What does my ID prove? Doesn't it only prove who I say I am?

That my face matches my photo ID? My ID doesn't say anything about my personality, my demeanor, my character, my respect for the provider etc

I'm (obviously) not a provider but I'm going to take a shot at answering this. Yes your ID literally proves who you are. If you make a booking with a provider and give her an alias (mine is Dave Lee BTW), then giving her your ID gives her proof of who you really are. Since providers use your ID for their safety then it makes sense that they can provide your ID to the police should you assault, rape, or steal from them. Telling the police they were assaulted by Dave Lee is not going to send them to my door.

I agree that your ID doesn't say anything about your personality, character, demeanor, or your respect for providers. But as I know providers are claiming ID is required for the safety aspect of their screening, so see my previous point.

Anyways this discussion was never about you but you seem to be adamant on making it about yourself (again you're not the main character here), so please leave me out of your "me, me, me, me". I've also clearly stated that the topic here isn't sp but pooners so you answering the question by " me as a SW..." is out of the topic. If you want to talk about the meritt of sending personal info to strangers sure, but your personal experience of victimization is irrelevant here. If the question was is showing ID to SP makes the entire buisness safer for both then you'd be on point.

You’re saying it’s not about her, yet you are referring to the industry she literally works in every single day. When you’re talking about screening, you seem to forget the actual human being you’re having a session with and how refusing to screen or provide your name impacts the person’s safety. What a wild concept right? The idea that sex workers are real live human beings? And that this entire conversation literally centres around another person’s safety?
I honestly don’t understand why you’re being so dismissive of Charlee. Guaranteed there are other sex workers on here not saying anything but reading what you’re writing and how you’re engaging with her and blacklisting you but that’s none of my business.
I get what another poster on here said about not being sure what happens to the info after it’s sent. That could be addressed by just asking the provider you’re going to send it to, or them having a privacy policy on their website that outlines what happens with your data as most other businesses have to provide.

Envision denied me cuz they’re whorephobic. I bank with Vancity. You’re completely missing the point and derailing this. Most legitimate established SAFE providers require a deposit or ID. It’s not a bad sign if you’re asked for one.
Also this is an ADVERTISING board and I PAY to be here (yes I write it off) and it’s my BIRTHDAY on Sunday so it actually is about me, thanks 👸🏼
