Advice from locals for when I tour Edmonton in July…

I am conflicted about which area I should stay and the dates due to that…
I was originally going to stay in the Windermere area while the Kdays festival is on, July 18th - 24, and I intentionally booked something farther from downtown, so my guests wouldnt have to deal with the kday crowds or traffic. but upon closer inspection of the map and how far Windermere is I’m worried the location is both too out of the way, and that the Kdays festival actually might be a bother to enough people that they take off on vacation that week? And that the tourists in town for the festival will be busy or wasted…can anyone from Edmonton confirm or deny this prediction?

I almost made a back-up plan to stay near the university July 1st - 6th but I just remembered that those are the dates I came last year, and was told by a local that the week after Canada day long weekend in Edmonton is notoriously the ‘deadest’ week of the year, many businesses close and people take off…but, receiving that info along with still having a successful week/first tour is partly what made me so excited to come back on a “normal” week…I’m torn!
and I don’t have much flexibility on alternative dates so:
long story short, (without suggesting other alternatives that suit you please)

if you are someone interested in seeing me, or who would be, do you think I should come to Edmonton:
July 1st - 6th and stay near the UoA
OR
July 18th - 24th and stay in Windermere

thank you!

Hi Kim. I can only speak for my preference that parking and traffic near big events or downtown or near U of A are a deterrent.

In my observation, South, West or SW areas, some downtown areas seem to have the highest concentration of SP incalls.

It's true that Canada Day weekend is when lots of people go on vacation.

i dont live in the city but i avoid downtown, windermeres not bad tho

as for if id want to see you or not, id need more than just that tiny pic here lol
Well its a good thing that, if you search my name on here, there’s a few ads that all contain more photos, as well as links to more platforms that have more photos, and links to platforms with videos too, and even a website with all my services, rates, contact info and, you guessed it, more photos:cool:

⭐Update for Edmonton, I am coming July 18th-24th and I’m not sure what the area is called but its NorthEast part of town by river valley 🌳taking prebookings now and already have spots filling up so don’t wait 💕
