Hot water with fresh squeezed lemon and some thinly sliced ginger root will provide your body with Vitamin C. Ginger will aid with a sore throat, nausea, and is also good for the immune system. You can also find Lysine tablets at your local health food store, these boost your immune system as well. Good 'ol sleep, plenty of clear fluids, and protein should be taken in even if you've lost your appetite. I've also been using Oil of Oregano for years and this always works for me. It tastes very strong, I use about 6 drops under the tongue and then follow with a big gulp of water. But you can also add it to a glass of water if you find taking it on its own to be too much.
