Hello all,

I am a SP who works VERY casually. By this I mean perhaps 1 or 2 sessions per day, 10 days a month.

Furthermore, due to the nature of my other job (also casual work) and my schoolwork (don't laugh, I AM a student) I cannot predict my long-term schedule with much accuracy.

How can I communicate these limitations to clients in the MOST respectful way? Because when I'm around, I'm around... but when I am busy with the rest of my life, I'm unable to respond to texts, voicemails, etc.

Any advice, gentlemen or fellow SPs?

1: make it very clear in your ad that you have limited time to work.
2: have some means of getting messages that you can answer when convenient FOR YOU
3: if someone texts you fifteen times a day put them on ignore
4: if you get dick pics post a screenshot on twitter with the guy's phone number
5: stick with known reliable customers, avoid time wasters
6: guys who do not call or show up, put them on your blacklist

Lots of ladies work part time and do well.
Set limits on how many hours you can work without disrupting your private life and studies.
Accept that you have limited time and make the most of what you have. You cannot answer every single text or email. If someone doesn't understand that then that is their problem, not yours. If a customer does respect your boundaries tell them "No thanks". Don't take shit from anyone.
This is a hobby for guys but it's a living for you.

I kinda reworked your words. If this isn't acceptable then maybe that's not the type of client you should be.looking for.
Sometime being blunt is respectful.

Best advice to a new SP I have ever seen!

From my perspective, darlin I have found that having an active up to date maintained website helps tremendously in terms of EDUCATING your preferred clientele about your availability, restrictions, booking procedures. Spell it all out, and IGNORE anything that is outside your lines!

Unfortunately, from my experience most about 90% gentlemen don't check the website! or if they do, they just look at the pictures.

The best is if you already built up a great regular clientele base and you just see them. Otherwise it will be very hard to connect with new gents.

setup a simple website with scheduling posted and keep it updated, cost a bit of time and effort but worth it

Take down all your ads when you aren't available, I've seen a lot of the more popular SP's do this.

Assuming you use a cell specifically for this work change the voice mail recording on it (assuming you have voice mail) to say you are unavailable for the next several days/weeks/whatever.

I think you can even set cell phones to auto-reply text messages, but I'm not sure how to do it.

Basically everywhere you advertise or have a way for people to contact you, setup a system to easily tell them you are not available.
