Adult websites - what sucks about them

I didn't bother trying half of the adult links in Doofus' thread because, IMHO, most adult sites suck warm shit through a short straw.
Here are my personal requirements for a good adult site:

- is free. No memberships, no fees. Use the legalise enter/exit buttons to avoid underaged surfers.

- the odd unintrusive pop-up is fine. But whoever thinks springing up a dozen of them with no close buttons (i.e. close one and dozens more appear) is a great marketing tool should be beaten to a pulp. Seriously. I would rather see advertising banners.

- truthful links that actually work. If I see a link to "pics of Jenna Jameson swallowing large cocks", that's what I expect to see when I click on that link. Searching for porn via Google has become an increasingly torturous exercise.

- non-repeating pics. This seems to be particular with European adult sites....an annoying tendency to post the same pics several times. For example, they have a 12-page Sung Hi Lee gallery, but post her famous milkdrop pic about 6 or 12 times. Why??? Are we supposed to be impressed with the high page count or what? Or do they have no sense of editing content?

- is it just me, or are the free sites with Playboy Playmates getting cracked down by Hef's Legal Bunnies? It's getting harder and harder to find pics of my favorite Playmates.

I have to agree with you on that Wolverine, searching for any worthwhile porn on the internet can be very frustrating. I rarely bother anymore.

The endless pop-ups is my number one pet peeve. Another pet peeve is sites that string you along forever trying to get to the free pics, "click here for naked pics, now click here, now click here, etc, etc", then if you finally find the pics they are edited and you are told you need to join to see the unedited pics. Then there are the sites offering free pics that end up being link pages with no pics on them at all and the links are mostly crap.

Even if you shell out money it isn't any guarantee you'll get your moneys worth. Years ago I purchased a couple of memberships for adult passwords assuming it would give me easier access to the good porn. In most cases the passwords would just give you access to sample pages and you'd be asked to shell out even more money to access the entire site or you'd be directed to a page telling you if you upgrade your password to a gold membership you would get access to better pics. I hate being strung along and these business practices have soured me on ever shelling out one red cent to another porn website.

I also have to agree that sufing for porn is a very frustrating experience. It's turned into more of a nightmare than anything else. I generally only surf to the erotic story sites now where most of the time contributors send in their own pics for readers to browse.

Pop-ups are my bain as well, especially if I am trying to sneak in a few views during work time, and close them out quickly.
I just visited www.sapphicerotica.com. They have a good selection of pics to download if you click on the thumbnails. Nothing like girls kissing!

I run 2 very popular adult sites, what you see is what you get, there are no pop ups, the ads arent misleading but they arent free.

See when you guys are searching for FREE porn you are asking for popups, spyware, cookies and other such stuff...why because those site owners have to pay for the bandwidth somehow...

You pay for what you get guys....

As for popups, you NEED to be running a popup stopper program if you're going to be going to porn sites.

With a popup stopper program running, all that happens when a popup tries to appear is you hear a beep. Sometimes multiple beeps in a row, when the website tries to open 3 or 4 on you.
