Just Give'r
Well my recent trip into retirement, and subsequent fall out of, gave me time to reflect on my life and it made me realize a few things.

I am a pay for sex addict. I can't get enough. I realized that if I had a million dollars, a good chuck of it would go into banging SP's. Don't get me wrong I have picked up many a normal chick in all types of social settings but there is something about the money transaction with an SP that really gets me going.

If I was an alcoholic and went to an AA meeting there would be support to help me quit. I went to a PA meeting and it just made me want to poon more.

It also made me realize I am addicted to alot of "vices" that society may or may not accept. I am addicted to booze - not just drinking but binge drinking... drinking only occasionally but to great excess. I am addicted to killing the enviroment (as bad as that sounds) I drive a big fat gas guzzling Ford Diesel F350 4 Dr. Long Box 4X4 for no reason other that it gives me pleasure, I refuse to recycle (just cause I am lazy) I am a constant pig of energy (electicity, Natural Gas etc..) reduce.. reuse.. recycle.. ha more like buy more.. consume more.. throw it away.. I am addicted to the wacky tabacy.. love it. Casino.. gambling .. lottery oh yeah baby! Fast Food, Processed Food... I am the poster kid for McDonald's. Addicted to work.. Long hours not enough pay, yeah I am a doormat to my boss.

This kinda life is killing me (literally according to my doc!) I used to be bad with pooning and sex in general, Some of my younger day antics would make some of the stick that Hatrick, 3 times and other such pooners look like angels. BBFS was pretty common. I have made some changes, but the only thing I can't get over is pooing (safe only now!) and my truck. All else is on the road to cleanliness.. but it made me think, what other addictions do pooners have? I am alone in my "bad" lifestyle?

Ok I have rambled on enough and not been very coherent in this rant, but hey what the hell I am bored and work sux today!

the good news is that it is not a moral issue ...

because studies are showing that some people's brains are hard-wired to be addictive ... they also show tendencies towards anxiety and ocd (obsessive compulsive disorder) -- some believe that all addictions form part of an ocd personality disorder.

the thing is, if you give up on addiction, such as alcohol, you will more than likely just substitute another 'obsessive' or 'compulsive' behaviour in its stead.

so, the short answer to the question you didn't ask is: no, you are probably not addicted to sex per se, but it is probably the one that gives you the most pleasure by ironically lessening your anxiety by releasing endorphins that elevate mood and lessen pain. You can get the same affects by working out, but why work out alone?

booze, drugs, gambling, shopping, eating, etc can all lessen your anxiety as well, but may not be the one that works the best these days.

and, yes, if i had a million dollars I'd do the same thing ...

One million $$$'s and addicted

Yo LonelyGhost:

Boy, can I relate to your post!! I AM still somewhat addicted to pooning and I have HAD (note past tense) the fabled One million dollars. To remain addicted and to no longer have the luxury of this former wealth forces you to develop a more restrained approach to this hobby. Not without difficulty, as the older you get, the MORE attractive younger woman become. The appetite is now out of synch with the pocketbook. I haven't found the solution yet, but believe me I AM working on it!! Long live libido.

LG... maybe i have some ocd tendancies.. definatly feeling more anxiety the older I get, but you are right, I do replace one bad "habit" with another. all to get that feeling of euphoria. hmmm makes ya wonder... The causes of all the grief in my life are 100% caused by my actions to get that pleasure or "high". to get rid of the pain I also have to take away the pleasure, but then who'd be happy?

ocd can be helped (not cured) by either drug therapy and/or cognitive therapy (both in tandem works best).

most of it is 'caused' by stress, and the person seeks behaviours that modify the stress and end up repeating the behaviours instead of lessening the stress.

the behaviours themselves (particularly ones like drinking) can then become the source of stress and the relief of stress! so then you are damned if you do and damned if you don't!

the best place to start is with your family physician who can refer you to different sources of help ... but it is also important to ensure that everything else is okay first --- there are other physical problems that can create psychological ones and it is best to make sure of that first.

Do you need to see your family doctor first before you can see a psych doc?

hifi thats brutal!! Usually my shit (after McDicks) kinda makes the shitter look more like 5 gallons of Sloppy Joe.

My bad habit, wasting to much gas cruising. I may eat a little to much fast/junk food for my own good. Booze, ahhhh, I can take it or leave it. Drugs, not for me; not trying to be a "goodie-goodie, just not into it. Pooning, not into giving/pissing all my coin away, a green on the track a few times a month is fine for me. Spending to much money on my toys is a big problem, but I'm a weak minded fool.
