Provisions often need to be made to deal with responsibilties left at home while a Companion is away working. Some of these may be childcare, elder care, pet care, mainting properties or other businesses one has, responsibilities to volunteer work or clubs that one is a member of.
As well as the more personal things that Isabelle mentioned such as having difficulty sleeping away from home or away from ones' SO, missing ones' pets and forfeiting one's cherished time alone or a good night's sleep. And in many cases even having to lie about where we are going. I'll add that ones' diet and exercise can also be adversely affected.
There is also, as Missy mentioned, the loss of continuity in business ie: regulars may look elsewhere while you are away, the Companion's advertising dollars are not being put to use.
It is these things that, I am sure, is what was meant by "inconveniences". All of those things are made to be more livable when the compensation is right. None of the ladies here are saying that a Companion feels inconvenienced when travelling with a client. And certainly if one feels inconvenienced to go, they should not be going. But simply, provisions for those things need to be addressed before setting sail and that is one of the reasons why we ask the fees we do. That, and well, you have all heard it before, paying for companionship/intimacy is a LUXURY. Luxuries are usually expensive.
Given the choice, with the pay being the same, between having to make provisions for all of those things to faciliate working away from home on a travel date OR staying home to work at my usual pace, I would surely stay home.
It has nothing to do with how much one would like the travel destination. Most people like to travel. It is a moot point when one is being paid to work while they are travelling. We all know many men who work in construction (and such) who get paid premiums for being away from home. There are many other examples of those who ply their chosen profession away from home and get compensated greatly for it.
