As independant Sp's often we are forced to hide our identities from friends, and main stream culture. I like what I do and do not care to hide. I am very much an open book but despite that, I do hide my profession from many. And I was very isolated.

Since joining the perb, I had written a few posts and went from feeling quite isolated to welcomed and included. Erica took much notice of me and made me feel at home here, I am so grateful for you and your enthusiasm.

I hope to return the favour one day. :angel::thumb::cheer2:

Well thank you sweetheart! I admit, I try hard to welcome new ladies to PERB, and to encourage us all to communicate openly with each other. We don't all need to see one another as competition! There is more than enough to go around, and there is a niche market for everyone.
When I was brand new to the industry, only 3 years ago, people reached out to me & welcomed me here. I have simply tried to PAY FORWARD what was offered to me by women who wanted me to know what was what and how things worked. Because of reaching out through this board, I have made at least one good friend who is closer to me than my own sister (Yes, you know I am looking YOUR way, peanut!) I have an AWESOME clientele, a terrific duo partner, and a life with which I am content! How can that be anything but good???

I look forward to seeing you here at the ranch!

Wow, you never cease to amaze me Erica! You also think like myself as I do not get competitive rather applaud success with woman doing well in any way they can. That was what I sensed from you. Life is too short to be jealous and envious of success, rather it's far greater to applaud and promote success, admire beauty, integrity, as well as intelligence.

This community is great for unity of woman who successfully proceed to maintain the ability to do what they want, and be proud, no matter what society is programmed to deny, scrutinize, and reject as a very valuable profession.

Biologically woman naturally compete with other woman for the attraction of Men for reproductive instincts and to obtain fertility. Sometimes woman may not even be aware of it. But I have not seen so much of this here. When there are offenders, or warnings, I notice the amount of support that goes out. Not knowing a lady, I got upset and had an instinct to protect her after reading her story. I could not explain my reaction, but I was so angry! We are all very brave, strong and courageous woman, and it's best to be supportive rather than competitive and judgmental; we get enough judgement by the ignorant of main stream culture.

If only the blind could see through our eyes!
