further to this mail order bride business; I have had clients and friends who have done it,
One client (older about mid 50's) met a beautiful young korean, married her and brought her over here. Best 2 years of his life, (so he had no regrets) but once she started living here and became used to the Canadian life style and talked to too many friends that she can do better, it was over; she next married her divorce lawyer, who was a friend of mine He was same age as my client but had more money to keep her happy so strangley that marriage has now lasted over 10 years and counting. Next a chinese mail order bride, only lasted 6 months, friend had Parkinsons (she knew it when she met and married him) however once she got a job here and started meeting better prospects, she moved out. Many young woman come here on arranged marriages; if family of girl involved, and she has a child, she less likely to run. I know many successful ones, even with professionals, but age gap is normally no more that 15 years. I also know majority of arranged marriages, whether mail order or otherwise, do not last much past the immigration stage.
However your friend can find prospects much closer to home. there are many students here (some do massage and it is easier to meet those ones, others are just students but who is going to introduce you?) who are looking to marry to stay here after their studies end. I have been asked several times myself. Sometimes by massage girls themselves and sometimes their friends ask me if I can find someone like me to marry them lol. (and I am 30 years older on average) so age is not always an issue.
As an example; I met a young girl (30 years younger) a few years back who did massage, and saw her often (for massage) and we became close friends. She even had her MBA, less her disertation. She came here as a refuge, young good looking, and after she lost her immigration appeal, she found the only way to stay was to marry. She asked me to marry her no strings attached. I said no, lol, so she went to an immigration consultant in surrey. (not a lawyer, the consultants are not bound by professional rules of conduct, and at least the one she saw had no ethics.) He had several guys willing to marry her at a cost to her of $15,000, with the understanding of divorce once immigration papers came. He was at the time, always lookng for men willing to marry young woman on that basis; heck maybe some of the woman client she has want genuine marriages. She did not have that much money and I warned her Canada immigration is looking for scam marriages and I have known more than one who has been refused; so she found a client (He was 67 lol.) He fell madly in love with her. (why not no way a man that age and looks could get that woman normally. His family (kids who were grown was agianst it as she was younger than them. she asked me to review the prenup, his family lawyer had prepared. She married him and I have not seen her since so cannot tell you the results.
