Hey guys So you know when you start putting in a URL to go to a site and your browser remembers after a letter or two and puts the rest in for you??? Is there some way to tell your browser (mine is Chrome) to NOT do that? Reason I ask is sometimes I can be with the wife or a colleague in close proximity to my laptop and say I start tapping alaskaair.com and after al my browser puts in aladiestouchmassage.com :) (true story, though not with anyone around which was nice :) )

I googled a few possible fixes to this and none seemed to work......if you have any brilliant ideas let me know. Basically, want to tell my laptop to not guess the URL I'm entering from the first 2-3 letters......

Thanks guys

Are you using the Chrome browser?
If so, Google "How to disable Chrome autofill and predictions"

Clear all your browsing history and cookies immediately.

In the future, use only Private browsing (ie. Incognito) for anything you don't want recorded.

I believe Chrome is a Google product so personally I would trust the "incognito" option about as far as I could throw a 1942 Buick Roadmaster.
Keep in mind that incognito doesn't prevent your employer (if you're on a company computer) or your ISP from knowing what sites you're visiting. It just deletes your history when you shut it down.
