I am an older man that does take them, and have for several years. I had very long and intense conversations with my doctor first, and she told me what I quoted above, and it comes in writing when you do get the pills. I have tried them all, the best is Cialis, by far.

Search and see if you can find one reported case in the press or the courts about this alleged problem. You will not find a single one.

O.K well that's fair enough and as I said to cruiser, I personally don't know much about Viagra at all and I suggested he ask the public health nurse we have on this site if he wanted more info.

Can someone tell me what the deal is with eating/drinking Grapefruit and taking ED medication?

I'm a guy that eats grapefruit on a daily basis, but don't do much ED medication, but if I should happen to venture that way, what precautions do I have to worry about.

Yep, as you get fitter your sex drive will increase. It's been a few years for me with the fat & bad diet but I remember the changes in my sex drive. I was a typical guy, chubby, bit of a belly, too much pub food. When I started working out my sex drive went through the roof.. In the past year I've been really focused, body fat at 9%, etc. Now my sex drive is almost annoying..fuck if my dick rubs against the sheet, I have to jack off. It's a morning & night thing now. Diet plays a huge role in sexual level too. If you can, cut out all alchohol and that'll really make a big difference. Good for you man, it becomes a lifestyle and soon you'll abhor wing night. And then you'll take yoga '=)

As for the stories of guys getting hard on's for 3 hours, I'd imagine there is truth to that. Probably some young guy who OD's on a handful of blue pills just to see the outcome. There's always someone stupid enough to do something like that.

OK so if I get this right.....if I cut out drinking beer (HMMMM BEER) my sexual performance will improve?....FYI I am 38 and weigh 150 lbs and have a toned body as it is right now.

Compounds in grapefruit can have certain effects on medications. The Harvard Medical School has the following to say:

The leading candidate is furanocoumarin. It is also found in Seville (sour) oranges and tangelos; although these fruits have not been studied in detail, the guidelines for grapefruit should apply to them as well.

Grapefruit’s culprit chemical does not interact directly with your pills. Instead, it binds to an enzyme in your intestinal tract known as CYP3A4, which reduces the absorption of certain medications. When grapefruit juice blocks the enzyme, it’s easier for the medication to pass from your gut to your bloodstream. Blood levels will rise faster and higher than normal...

So the grapefruit juice actually increases the rate of absorption (and therefore the amount) of the ED medication in your blood; however, at an unpredictable level. That's the problem, the unpredictability.
