I salute SP's everywhere. You have a difficult job usually carried out with grace and good humour. I meet people all day long and some of them are rude, smell bad, have bad teeth, are obese, bad breath, excessive dandruff, have scabs or skin conditions, are inconsiderate or sometimes just plain mean or scary. Many smell like they've bathed in cologne. Some are just ordinary people; and a (very) few are very attractive and personable. The thing is, I wouldn't like to spend a lot of time with the majority of them, let alone get naked, kiss or be intimate. SP's do this and more, often without the right of refusal. It's great to fantasize about sex with someone we've just met who is extremely attractive, but how many men could actually carry out the deed with someone sight unseen and less than attractive to us? the "job" is a little less difficult once you start clearing "6 figures plus" (attainable, if you are a good sp, bonus, its tax free) and can take time off whenever you want and go wherever and whenever you want.

still, having said that, i could not have sex with fugly members of the opposite sex for coin. but that is why they make decent coin and i have to use other means to make said coin. rational choices made by adults.

i think the public underestimates the rational decisions sps make in career choice and greatly mischaracterizes the "typical" sp in Canada.

Sps are truly the purest female entrepreneurs in the world. they are running a business like the rest of business owners. they assess risk and reward just the same as when i look at a Prospectus and financial statements, trial risks, tax liabilities, and all other contingencies in a file. the only diff is their business assessments all have a human face (and hopefully not too much back hair or body odor).

I have seen several posts where apparently some pooners have read the Canadian tax code and determined that sp's don't have to pay taxes. Actually, the ladies are subject to the same penalties for not declaring income (fine and possible jail time) that any other citizen is subject to.

...you know, we can decline seeing certain people, but it needs to be done with kindness and tact. Our job is to make people happy, and if we don't feel we are able to, it's our responsibilty to let you find someone who will.

But yeah, you're right it does take a thick skin sometimes, but it works best when I try to look beyond the flaws of those around me, lose all judgement and find something beautiful in every person I meet.

I think what CT meant was that some women might be in a desperate situation(maybe a sw needing money for drugs) or being forced to work in an agency that didn't let them decline a client(illegal aliens etc)
