I debated posting this for the past couple of days. But I always came back to the conclusion. "If it helps save one kid from being attacked, then this is worth posting"

I am a mom of five kids. I have a set of twin boys that just turned 12 in Dec. One of my twin boy is autistic. Not severely, but you would be able to tell that he appears to trusting.
I was at work when this took place. I am glad I was busy that night, cause I would have come home the moment I took the phone call. I was in tears the moment I heard.
My son was asked to go to the store and pick up milk and hot dog buns for supper. I have to mention he has gone to the store countless times before without incidents. My son purchased the items and bought himself a rootbeer.
On the way home, in front of our alley. 3 men approached him. Pushed him down in the snow. Rubbed his face in it. Went through his pockets, stole $3 he had left. Hit him in the face with some sort of stick. Punched him in the stomach. Took his pop, drank some and spit the rest all over him. They told him, that they loved doing this kind of thing to people. Then the one guy said to him "stay down there, I am coming back for you". Then then laughed and took off.
The police were called and I have to admit that they did their best to find them. They were there within 5 mins of getting the call.
There were many of them searching for them. But they could not be located.
My son was terrified to go out again. I told him that he cant let people like that rule his life. But we have to take precautions now.
No I know this might be overkill and I might get alot of flack from some of you. But I am fed up.
I am going to insist on they take radios with them. I usually had them take them when they went to friends homes, play ground etc. But now I have to insist they take them everywhere. God, they cant even go a block away without getting jumped on.
I have even purchased dog spray. Not sure if I am going to give it to them yet or not.(Of course w/rules and safety issues being discussed). But I dont know what else to do.
So for all parents out there, you may want to be aware that things like this is happening out there.
Protect your kids as best as you can.

love and laughs

Wow, that's awful. It's too bad there are people like this out there. Hopefully they find them and they get punished to the fullest.
