Senior Stabbed & Robbed

A Kelowna senior has been violently attacked in his own home.

Just after midnight the 75-year old man was robbed and stabbed in his home in the 700 block of Stockwell Avenue. A woman he’d met earlier had returned to the home to get her jacket. When she tried to take some money, the homeowner resisted and was slashed with a knife. Police say he’ll recover.

The hunt is now on for a woman in her late 20’s to early 30’s with sandy blond hair in a ponytail, wearing a black hoody and white tank top. She was with a man described as also in his late 20’s to early 30’s, about 6-1, heavy set build, unshaven, wearing a black jacket and blue pants.

Senior Stabbers Arrested


A pair of suspects have been arrested in the stabbing of a Kelowna senior.

Yesterday morning a 75-year old man was robbed and knifed in his Stockwell Avenue home. It happened after a woman had returned to the victim’s home to retrieve her jacket.

Late yesterday afternoon, a woman was arrested in Kelowna – a short time later a male accomplice was picked up in Vernon. Both are said to be in their mid 30’s and are currently in the local lockup.

Seems this criminal uses the excuse of a broken down car or some similar ruse to gain access to the house on the pretext of using the phone.

After casing the joint and sizing up the owner, leaves jacket as an excuse to come back later.

We know the rest.

Too much of this type of victimization going on - too many bleeding heart liberal judges have screwed up the precedents to the point punishment is never enough........ grrrrrrr.... don't get me started.

More to the point, I would think a 55 yr old would be young stuff to a 75 year old.

I also heard that they were using the 'broken down car' excuse to get in. Glad their caught. They would have had to been SW's because the agencies couldn't tolerate this sort of thing and the idies that advertise in the paper have all pretty well been reviewed by members here. There are some really scary looking 'things' out on the streets now. Much wiser to use the board and stay with the known product. ;-)
