If it is a telemarketing company, they will not stop until you answer and tell them you're not interested. When no one picks up, they put a note in and your number will just keep popping up in their system a few times a day..

It is programmed that way but I'm not sure how long it takes before they give up.. If you're patient enough to find out... let me know! lol

When telemarketers call, ask them if they are part of the CMA (Canadian Marketing Association) most of the larger companies are, and they keep a list of people that have asked not to be contacted, and those companies do thier best to remove those listed by thier association. Obviously with name changes, and misspelled names it may be an issue, but it's free, and you can do it online...

i recall hearing that our government is setting up a list or something and if you put your name on the list, telemarketers aren't suppose to call you. Anyone know if that is going to happen??

I had one telemarketer call several times and every time I asked to have my name removed. I only got it removed when I started asking her questions about whether or not she shaved and if she ever did the puppy and peanut butter trick. I never got called back
