A few pals from work want to go there after work on day next month (group excursion)

They can't stop talking about it but I was kind of thinking it's kind of a waste of money.Paying a lot of $ to have a girl grind you though your jeans, and chafe your dick.

Almost even the poorer providers are going to be a way better value.

Thoughts? I haven't been there for years. Anyone been there lately?

Fake sick......
Yeah... honestly
One of the guys was storytelling about some poor bloke who spent $600+ to "get off"

Oh ripped. Drink, be merry and make it rain.

Get dances with your friends on the dual couches and laugh together while making jokes and high fiveing each other. The women there are so nice and join in on the jokes.

Hint- don't go with work friends.
Yeah exactly what I was thinking... certain things I don't need to see happen ;)

Thinking up excuses already tonight

Put it this way: you know something they don't know!

Vancouver strip club scene is stupid. Girls won't pay attention to you unless you 1) are wearing a suit, 2) look like you're juicin' at the gym, 3) look like you're ballin' hard like a gangsta. Expensive drinks and lap dances. It's too bad you have to go to Montreal to get a really good strip club experience.

Now that you put it that way...maybe it'smore about impressing friends

Never went there to eat before, although a lot of the strip clubs and pubs used to have good food also

I am here.
I have had some very interesting times in and outside Vancouver clubs, 1 nighter. This is a general statement that does not hold water.

I am in my 60's, do not go dressed in a suit, or look like I attend a gym, or ballin' hard. I am in reasonable shape, look a few years younger, but I have a friendly look that invites contact. I have written about some of my research and conquests in the strip club section, so won't repeat here.

Your place or mine?
I remember the good old days when we had an abundance of strip clubs in Vancouver. We had the Cecil, the Drake, Strip club near Douglas college New Westminster, The Barnet Inn, The North Burnaby Inn (NBI).

The NBI was the best for cheap eats, cheap beer, Hot strippers, and exclusive PPV sports events. it was definitely good times back then.

Now we have such a poor selection of strip clubs.

I like the #5, enjoyed the company of some nice/beautiful ladies there, but I'm sure they don't remember me. *LOL* Actually, I think going to a strip club is one of the more affordable things to do in the city (that's if u don't go for a lap dance). Nothing wrong with just going there, buying a couple drinks, maybe grab a bite and just watch the stage or some sports game and chat with your buds. U can probably do that for like $20-$30 for the whole nite. If u sit in the front of the stage, then maybe u should tip the girl performing. If u sit somewhere further away, u can just chill and a tip is not expected. I notice some international students there all the time, all they do is buy a drink, watch the show for like an hour and then they are done and out of there. They don't tip and they pass on private dances. I'm sure it was an entertaining nite for them and rather inexpensive. :D

U will get ladies working the floor who will ask u if u want a private dance, but just kindly say "sorry, not tonite". I suggest not saying "maybe later", cuz the ones that are not very busy may come back to ask u again. If u go for a lap dance however, then the evening gets expensive fast @ $50 a pop for like 4 mins of entertainment. 1 or 2 lap dances is not too bad, but more than that is tough on the wallet, especially if you're a working stiff like me. *hehe* It is probably better to use that money towards a SP, definately more bang for the buck. :p

I heard that was for two reasons.

The change in liquor laws related to drinking and driving
And two the denial of work visa for European dancers.

I thought in Ontario they started a campaign to recruit young college students to get the government to repeal the decision to deny visas. If anyone has more info on that I would like to hear it. :-D

Nothing to do with the drinking laws, there are just as many pubs now as before the tougher punishment. Main reason is real estate. Drake got turned into social housing, Cecil is turning into another condo, NBI turned into another sports bar. The one in Richmond is now the Wall Center. Marble Arch got bought by some Korean Christian group.

#5 charges a cover, $5-10 depending on the day. It's $50 for a lap dance, I rather spend that money on sp. The girls are hot though, solid 8 to 9.5

Was there a few months back and finally saw a Asian on stage.

Yea the one in New West was Mugs n Chugs. Remember the Caribou inn, Wild Duck Inn, Tommys, the Austin and the Marr as well. In those days they were all over.
Good times. No lap dances as well or sticking money into a G-string.
Just a girl on stage. 3 songs.
1st song chick dances.
2nd song top comes off.
3rd song slower, blanket comes out with bottom off and girl rolling around all sexy revealing kitty. If she likes you she might make eye contact and pretend to rub or lightly rub herself.
After the 3rd if there were enough cheers" SHOWER SHOWER SHOWER!!" she would jump into the shower on stage for the finish.

Hmmm, I figured internet porn + SP advertising + Gen Y social media junkies (too busy texting to go see strippers and too wussy to know what they are missing) = The fall of YVR strip clubs.
