If you had watched the movie,"Donnie Brasco"then you will not have missed out on Carmine Galante's appearance.
In the movie,"Donnie Brasco"the first time Donnie Brasco meets Sonny & Bruno Indelicato,is when the crew is waiting outside in the cold for the boss.
When the boss shows up in a big car & cigar in mouth,that is Carmine Galante,the Hollywood depiction.
For those of you who had,"missed the story"how many of you know the story of Paul Castellano & Sparks Steakhouse?
In my opinion,"Lunchtime at Joe & Mary's",July 12/1979,was actually far more spectacular & consequential than,"Dinnertime At Sparks Steakhouse".
It would be superficially over-simplistic,to reason two were murdered in the Castellano hit,compared to three dead & one injured in Galante hit .
There was a lot more at play to consider, measuring the scale of consequence,when making an assessment of the Carmine Galante hit.
Carmine Galante was a far more evil person than Paul Castellano,who rendered far more harm to society than Paul Castellano ever did.
Paul Castellano was:the nephew of Carlo Gambino,who might have made his bones along the way,but was made boss by nepotism.
Carmine Galante was a fearless psychotic killer,even killing a policeman,"Cops & Robbers"shoot-out style.

Just as Griselda Blanco was the US wholesale distributer agent of Medallin Cartel cocaine,so was Carmine Galante the US wholesale distributer agent of French Connection heroin.
So when you think of inner-city neighborhoods,across the USA,going to hell from heroin blight,1950s - 1970s,Carmine Galante's fingerprints are all over it.
Unlike Griselda Blanco;who delegated killing to her hit-squads & sicarios,Carmine Galante embraced doing his own gruesome deeds.
Paul Castellano had three issues when assassinated:mob commission trials,autotheft to kuwait export ring legal issue and Gotti /Ruggerio heroin traffic legal issue.
Carmine Galante,when assassinated,was killing anyone & everyone,standing in the way of his ambition to be boss of bosses.A far more dangerous threat.

Like a William Shakespeare play,this act has an element of comedy.
When the restaurant owners' teenage son,first spotted the three masked gunmen enter,he chirped a warning to the dinner party on the back patio.
For his instinctive courage,the restaurant owners' son,took a gunshot in the ass of all places.
Magnanimously,the hit-squad otherwise spared the teenagers' life,moving on to the more important business at hand.
Revolutions;such as the French Revolution or Communist ones,have been compared to the ancient god,Saturn.
Whereby both Saturn & Revolutions,"eat their own children".
The assassination of Carmine Galante,in the context of Revolution within the Bonnano crime family,"ate it's own children" in likewise aftermath.
The movie,"Donnie Brasco"depicts the ,"Assassination of Three Capos".
Each of the,"Three Capos"(Sonny Red Indelicato,Trinchera,Giacamone?)were on the hit-squad & back-up hit-squad,in the Carmine Galante rub-out.
