Actually they are relevant in that the attack seems to have been racially motivated.

Nothing sells papers better than racial issues even when there isnt one and "seems" just doesnt cut it when searching for the truth..
I'll wait until the facts are on the table from a reliable source before i condemn anyone,call me paranoid but i just dont believe much of what i read lately.

Even if the attackers weren't motivated by racism, having it labeled a hate crime is a good thing if it keeps the psychos in jail longer.

Well, at least one of the witnesses has been quoted as saying that the attackers started off yelling ethnic slurs at the victims while approaching them... Short of a statement from the attacker(s), what else could there possibly be as proof of an attack being racially motivated?
