Local NBC affiliate is running back to back to back to back episodes of My Name is Earl. Probably up there also, and I am sure they are all re-runs, but for anyone who has never seen the show this is a good chance to get 2 hours of really unusual TV. That means 4 episodes with Nadine Valezquez, as a bonus.

Freaking Sweet!

The first episode is one of my favorites (title: Stole Beer from a Golfer), and the last episode is one that I missed! Thanks for the heads-up SFMIKE!
And for anybody who hasn't been watching the show, you really should. Now that Arrested Development is off the air, it's probably the funniest sit com on TV... Plus that latina honey is super hot!

it's a nice one two punch with "The Office". Thursday nights on NBC...hmmmmmm...reminds me of a few years ago with Cheers and Seinfeld.

I highly recommmend Earl, too. The writing is superb -- they have the ability to start out with one basic premise (Earl has to reward "Karma" for letting him win $100,000 by paying people back for his former evil ways). They give him one person from his extensive list and then weave a complex plot and then tie it all up in a half hour. I think the writers have learned this from Seinfeld. The cast is superb and they have minor recurring characters that are sharply drawn.

The woman that plays Earl's former wife is bloody marvelous. She takes a cardboard character (the totally selfish bitch) and puts little human touchs on it that make you say, "Hey, I think I know that woman." You kind of end up really liking her ... just like a lot of totally selfish women we know. She is also super hot looking. At first you think she is just another plastic Pamela Anderson wannabe but then her intelligence shines through the character and she becomes truly beautiful. Smart less-than-perfect beauty always trumps stunning stupid beauty.

Earl is also great. Unlike Seinfeld, he can be super-funny just on his own.

I don't watch much t.v. (yeah, I know everyone says this) but Earl is worth the ads. It also has a real sweet message about human nature at its core but manages to mock a lot of society's faults at the same time.

As it turns out I had seen all but the second episode previously. But, that was great, first with Earl's great soccer kick, then Nadine showing her extremely sexy body while dancing alone. And watching Randy staring at her great body is worth the price of admission.

I only recently started watching this show. Quite a few parallels to rural Alberta where I grew up. I'll be the first in line to get the DVD set when it comes out.

If they are in any location specifically, I would say it is Central Maryland as last night they mentioned Hagerstown, and previously I remember Cumberland.

I grew up in an area not too far from there.

But, the way the characters are depicted I would place them more in W. Virginia, but Hagerstown is really not too far from there.
