I am a relatively new member. About 6 months ago I started to look for sex from women not my wife, as they say. Knowing nothing, I checked out SWs and learned about the girls on 3rd Avenue, those around Centre Street and 15th Ave, and even those (shudder) near Coyotes and (worse shudder) those in Forest Lawn. Again, not terribly satisfying, in part because I was scared to death of LE.

Finally, I wake up and learn about perb. I learned that women, basically running a business and so concerned about customer satisfaction and repeat customers, could be hired to give my what I wanted and needed without the issues that come from dealing with SWs. What's more, I got to read reviews (!) and learn the good from the less good. The reviews also meant that the girls I met would be anxious to be honest and skilled because to be other than that might be generate a bad review and that would be bad for business. I have used these reviews and, although I have only had two experiences, they have both been great.

So, here is my question. How does the 3rd Avenue trade survive? Admittedly, many of those girls are really, really hot. But they want $ to talk to them, $$$ for FS (they say), the risk factor (and fear factor, at least for me) is high, and I have no way of knowing whether the experience will be good, bad or indifferent because they come with no reviews! Is it just know-nothing newbies like me that keep it going? I'd be interested in knowing the opinions of both the guys and the ladies. I am really curious and hopefully some others are too and so might find this an interesting exchange.

I agree whole heartedly with what you are saying. I think it is a case of, 'what you don't know can really hurt you'... for those poor saps who've never heard of Perb (and its ilk).

I too share your sentiment that Perb has been quite the treasure trove as far a hobbying goes. Even with escorts, it used to be quite the crapshoot with the hobbyist ending up with the short end of the stick more often than not. While the risk of a 'bad' date cannot be eliminated entirely, a considerable portion of the risk is mitigated thanks to reviews and posts on Perb.

I think 3rd avenue is mainly aimed at tourists who don't know the local escort scene, real rich guys that don't care about the cost, any impulsive horny guy driving by and the intoxicated folks . It might also sometimes garner an experienced perbite whp couldn't arrange a date with an escort on short notice or a perbite that just says "screw it, she is just so hot I'll give it a whirl".

I never partake but until recently I had an office that overlooked the corner of 3rd ave and 1st street where the very hottest girls are. In the very brief street phase of my pooning career I never picked anyone up from 3rd Ave. I would drive and take a boo to see who was around and talked to one or two but always had the feeling that I'd be more satisfied using my wad of 20's as toilet paper. The attitude of these chicks is fucking brutal, one of the last times I was walking in the area it was leaving the French Maid @ ~ 2100. As we're walking across the street there's a Lexus SUV parked with what is clearly a hooker inside (behind the driver's wheel), her window goes down and she asks if we're looking for a good time. Most likely because they are incapable of getting licensed due to their age. Not to mention that they may not want to have a license, as that information is available to the public.

Most of the girls on 3rd have now been there a long time, many as long as 5 years. Also I have witnessed the police iding them for age so they must be carrying something that passes muster on that accord.

Covictions may be a problem or sumply the very high cost of getting an escort licence but that doesn't make a lot of sense sicne I think some of the very best known folks don't have a licence.

I have wondered the same but I'm guessing that on a night these girls can pull in 6-10 suckers for their 10 minutes of "service" at 300-600 per pop. Since I assume most of these girls are controlled by pimps, I figure revenue maximization is what they need to do and to hell with the girls comfort. Despite my belief on the pimps, I have never seen anyone obviously loitering around. The girls often drive in themselves and I have seen them enter and leave the same car (half hour later) and never seen them shuttling cash to someone else-- although they could just hand it in to one of the many cars that pull up and speak to them for a little while without picking them up

I agree that some of the 3rd ave girls are absolutely stunning.
Unfortunately their service and attitude are often lacking to put it nicely.
However, even though, the good looking ones make between $600-$1500 a night. Calgary is becoming a rich city and people are willing to pay (not knowing any better) for girls.

No offense to other SPs in Calgary, but if there are any that looked like some of those girls, and provided good service, that'd be the killer combination IMO.

Well, my thinking was that my first time with an SP reviewed on this board should be with someone who was mature (as measured by both age and attitude). I wanted mature because (1) I wanted someone who was more likely doing this by choice than by circumstance -- I am not looking to take advantage of someone -- (2) since they had been around for a while, they knew how to stay safe, and (3) they were more likely to be atuned to my needs (so that if I wanted sensual rather than gymnastics I would get it). So.....after extensive research, my first was Lexi who meets all of those criteria

I don't think the classy ladies treat you differently if you are a first timer. They might be more cautious if it is your first visit with them, but I don't think it matters that it is your first time period.

Having said all that, and if you agree, stay away from the 3rd Avenue types since you will none of maturity, safety, or respect.
