Don't laugh, I've been thinking about getting myself a bike as well. Although I don't think I could fit on something like that...

There is nothing wrong with riding in the city as long as you don't act like an idiot and be aware of your surroundings at all times. I ride a 1L sportbike, and no, I don't get 30km/liter in gas mileage but it is one hell of a ride!

For anyone thinking of getting a bike, please go through a reputable riding school. I guarantee, it will save your life.

Riding in this area is nothing compared to what I saw when I was in China. Talk about insanity- I would say most motorcyclist couldnt handle big city China traffic like those kids over there. And they dont often even wear a helmet! India and Vietnam as well.

When I last lived in Vancouver I actually got my class 6 learners licence and bought a motorbike....a venarable/aged 1978 Kawasaki 450 Ltd.....soon as I got the bike I got the sprockets replaced and a new chain....the guy who did the work told me I was nuts if I was going to drive around on a learners licence but I did it anyway with the mindset of " dont be an idiot and do the speed limit and drive safely"...I never had a single problem...2 months later I did a road trip on that bike to the BC interior...and shortly after I moved to the BC interior.....and very shortly after that whilst commuting to work on that bike I blew the engine whilst doing 120 KM's.....I pulled in the clutch at the last moment and then rode that bike into the ditch....got up and checked myself out and then kicked the bike a couple of times....thumbed a ride into town and made a couple phone calls and sold the bike for scrap.

I still have my class 6 endorsement on my licence but I wont get a bike as Calgary drivers are worse than Vancouver drivers.

Oh and Honda.....man up and get yourself a "real bike".....hell I started as a complete fuck-wit who had no experience and no lessons and taught myself but my first and only bike that I drove to death and put on 28,000 km's on in 6 months had twice the engine of your bike.

You're full of shit Storm Rider about a real bike, 250cc bikes are all about handling. At the track many people pass 600s on a 250s and get red faced about it.
Let see I've owned in my past.

SV650= 650CC
ZRX1200= 1200 CC
ZX9 Kawasaki Ninja=900CC

For crowded ass urban area like Seattle I was bored on my big CC bikes. Way too crowded too open it up and if you do all you end up doing is being a rear end ordanment on someone's bumper. Trust me I sold my ZX9 due to boredom of never really able to let it rip. Anywhere unless its on a track.

So I love revving the tits off my 250 for urban use. I can tell you have never ridden a 250 Ninja or CBR. Lots of exp riders have fun on them. Just have an open mind to where a guy can ride and go from there. The sterotypes about bikes and scooters are stupid. I've owned scooters in the past and they are very fun.

Its a guy thing, to not call out someone's ride. Surprise SR would say its a girl's bike since most Miata owners are tired of that girly car tag. Which I dont get, I've driven a Miata before its fun but too small for me.
