True but Iran is used to be sanctioned at this point . They will most likely bet on the decoupling from the US dollar happening since BRICS have been using their currencies for trading and the acceleration for the rest of the countries to use alternative currencies this past year after trump return to power.
Specially in democracy, The leader is a reflection of its people.
Iran is allowing tankers to pass unhindered if their load has been paid in currency other than the US dollar.
But the truth of the matter is they wlil walk away with millions/billions with ZERO repercussions. Not just the Republicans either. Dems have done the same thing. Maybe not as blatant or as damaging, but who really knows. And Canada isn't immune either. Practically EVERY politician leaves politics richer than when they started. They don't get paid THAT much do they? Then there's the on going perks of being in office and having all of those connections which will follow them throughout their business dealings for years. And it isn't going to stop or change no matter whose in charge in eihter country.
If I think about it too much I turn into and angry old guy; so I do my best to ignore this shit and enjoy my life. Focus on stuff that makes me happy.
I often ask the question why is he doing this? He is an American and it should mean something. Unless of course he is doing all these for Putin. What else could it be?
I read this great science fiction story about an alien empire that wanted to destabilize the Earth and sow chaos so that when they finally invaded humanity would be crippled and weak.... They created a humanoid infiltrator. It wasn't perfect,.. they couldn't get rid of the orange skin tint, but they gave it all the advantages they could, wealth, political connections, ruthlessness, unbridled belief in it's own superiority... and then they let it loose on the world to wreak havoc. It was just a B-Grade horror drama, but hey, humans love slapstick base humor. Can't wait for the second book to find out how it ends....
