Reacher 3 first three episodes were great, cant wait for the next.
currently rewatching Suits, Megan Markle is so beautiful and the show is as good as the first time I watched it
Parenthood is not too bad, older series but good cast
interested in the White Lotus after post #21 talked about it I watched the trailer, goona probably stop Suits temporarily and watch White Lotus

Currently watching "Loudermilk", about an asshole counsellor who runs a recovery group along with the many misadventures of his roommate and clients, it's well written with a lot of comedy, heart-ache, and warm/fuzzy: filmed locally and mostly Canadian actors. 8/10 recommended

F1 the [hollywood] movie.
As a longtime formula 1 fan this was ultimately a disappointing film, but it had some moments of brilliance also.
The good: the producers [one of which was Lewis Hamilton] were given acces to actual F1 tracks, events, personnel, and facilities; some of the scenes were shot at team McLaren, the team Willians wind-tunnel, the Silverstone track, etc. Also lots of cameos of current F1 pilots such as Alonso, Hamilton, and max, etc. the race cinematography was pretty good, the fictional team apex used a modified dallare f2 car and raced agaisnt actual year-old f1 machinery.
The bad: the story requires the usual "suspension of disbelief", and at times is so bad its LoL comical. eg. Sonny, a 60 year-old driver tries to mansplain aerodynamics to a aerspace engineer or Sonny orders his team pricipal in the middle of a race how to strategize his teammate. Ultimately the writers are guilty of fabricating a implausible plot in order create a fairy tale.

5.5\10 entertaining in spots but way too much fluff & flawed.

Basically Maverick on wheels.

I thought Maverick was one of the best 'movies' I've ever watched ... but the moment I sat back to think about any part of it, it basically destroyed the whole premise and became one of the stupidest movies I've ever seen.

You can either enjoy a movie for being a 'story' or you can complain because it's not a documentary.

Kind of like this hobby ... as long as you don't look too closely everything looks great!

I find there is a dearth of good on the various streaming platforms. Dept Q though was great, can't wait for S2.
Ditto Landman S2, the Gentlemen and Mobland. Actually anything Guy Ritchie does, I'm in.
Was so looking forward to Severance S2 but it diverted enough from the great story line in S1, I was disappointed.
Have a host of things I had saved, then diving in found I was bailing 10-15 min in on almost all of them.
Maybe its me, too jaded, too tired of Hollywood, or just tired of the recycled story lines.

Titan the ocean gate submersible disaster on Netflix. Fascinating and terrifying at same time, getting in that piece of junk was like playing Russian roulette and a lot of people new it.

I got a notion that the whole film was to blame the owner. In order for the company to have paying customers; the submersible should of been tested to destruction at depth by remote control (taking it up and down and use data from that to make it better, not in a lab controlled situation). It should of been regulated by a qualifying agency.
Today the underlying thing in advancement, is the safety culture.
Like a safe room in a house. A safe room in a mine. A safe room in a pressure container??

Mindhunter on Netflix was interesting.
Looking forward to Wednesday season 2.
