The corruption in those years both in the Mulroney and Chretien governments was pretty epic. As opposed to what is happening today in you know where, where the human rights abuses are taking a lot of the front and center. This would be a good topic in the Canadian political forums!!
Mulroney was returning from a Euro trip and his wife had bought a bunch of expensive rich people stuff. She went through customs but had an RCMP take her luggage around so it wouldn’t be dutiable. Mila was as bad as they come.
