For any who are interested (and of course those who subscribe to the far right will debunk this) the CBC posts a poll tracker site for federal elections. This is not their poll, it is an average of all the major polls. The error bars are appropriate given the statistics and as far as polls go this is a good indicator. Keeping in mind polls can be a snapshot in time so if anyone is following this site, it should be checked periodically.

Yep, Liberal super majority incoming - NDP wiped out. The baby boomers want their expensive housing protected, and they're coming out to vote.

The Conservatives could bring back some more prosperity with an economic plan?? Pierre was winning when he was smashing Turd with insults.

Carney is just a new spin on Justin Turd. He looks like he knows economics, but his job is now going to be politics. Unfortunately he will do the same things as Turd. Restrict guns, fund social projects, kill the health system with no input of more money, keep up the Carbon tax and hinder any project that will make carbon.

To make the economy grow and make permanent jobs (not parttime jobs that end in 6 months), you need to burn fossil fuels making carbon. Whether it is more mining exploration, making ports in the Arctic, building new warships, and weapon systems, new vehicles for military (tanks, mobile artillery, anti-drone defence, drone offense, etc). Mega projects for new hydro-electric dams, High speed trains between all major cities,.

What the next government should do is put money into the economy, make banks support small businesses, lower interest for house payments (make it simple interest- banks make more money off compound interest on mortgages, tying up vast amount of money that could be used for other things. Student loans for post secondary school (most of it is for living expenses) should be interest free until the degree is done (gov don't pay banks interest while people are in school).

The majority of land taxes go to help schools in the province. The problem with that is private schools also get a part of that money. This should stop in order to put more into the public school system. Private school system should be covered 100% by the parents. Gov money + parent money = better student. Not fair to kids in the public system. Again here are rich people using public funds to enhance their childrens future.

-More oil refineries
-East west pipelines for oil
-Now with climate change now is the time to put in desalination plants near the oceans to put fresh water inland with pipe lines. At least to major farming areas.
-Need big underground transport system deep (under 400 ft) underground for transport system.
-High speed transit system between major cities
-City construction of apartments. Get rid of the 600 sq ft apartment (1 bed). Make it a 1800 sq ft apartment (with 2 levels) 3-4 beds. After all we are all looking to increase our house space. New construction should be at 4-5 cars per place (since mass transit and buses don't make the cut in time and convenience). Really ever taken a bus, it sucks, takes too long and you have to change buses at least 3-4 times.
-Water conservation--Need more drinking water storage. Won't be much if we keep wasting our water. Actually historically we did conserve water, we just did it so well that they raised the price of water over the last 40 years.
-Need to manufacture more plastics, steel products (bars, sheets, pipe, steel, aluminum, brass and copper)
-the biggest thing is the repairability of products we buy. Manufacturers make things impossible for simple repairs because they want to sell you a whole new product. they don't want you to fix it yourself.
-Math and science for high school, should be at least the second year college. Schools really don't try to teach science until the10th grade.

One thing I noticed during covid is the van/motorhome, where people live out of their vehicles and work. Big cities lack the space for these types of people and their homes. Come on we all know about trailer parks, its just that the trailer park got smaller. Now again house land got in short supply, so they build highrises for people. Now they will have to start building high rises for motorhomes with all the connections. Park-cades 10-15 stories that can take motorhomes (15 ft height requirements for clearance).

No one unceded anything from me or mine. I have no issue acknowledging others haven't been as fortunate.
so you admit you're just a superficial human with no real substance

cause if you did believe in the verbal diarrhea that is involved with it

you'd actually act, give your land/house back, but you won't will you

Bill Maher has a good little clip on it

in the end he says if you're not going to actually do that

"then shut the fuck up'

cause do you really believe that the Natives were put in North/South/Central America by some great being in the sky?

or that they came across the land bridge

and haven't been as fortunate

that's pretty much everyone in the world

how far back are you going to go to

give "reparations"

what's the equation, formula

or maybe we should just stop the bullshit and make it fair for everyone, from now on

which it still isn't, for a lot, not just those that got here first

groups condemn social media posts made by Vancouver councillor-elect Sean Orr

....on Oct. 30, 2023, the groups say Orr falsely accused the State of Israel of committing acts of genocide while it acted to defend its citizens and sovereign territory from terrorist aggression in the deadly attack by Hamas on Oct. 7, 2023.

On Aug. 31, 2021, Orr wrote that "everyone knows Vancouver city planners are controlled by a secret cabal of Jews who have a bunker in the earth's core

.
No, the only way anyone knows that is if they read Mine Kamf while high on some really dank BC bud. That's literally lifted from Nazi-era conspiracy theories.

Rather think Sean Orr spoke about the officer corp in the WEF, OECD, IMF and World Bank.

I will probally vote Conservative. But I fucken hate Poliviere.
It comes down to economics, woke shit being taught in elementary, high school, and post secondary schools, the Liberal have shown they can't run the economy, at least not well enough for the common man; where most 40-50% are struggling to make ends meet.

The economics is that we do not refine our natural resources, we give them away to other countries at below market price (especially to the states eg tar sand oil).
The amount of CO2 being put into the air :
"Canadians are among the biggest carbon polluters in the world, emitting the second-highest per capita greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions among OECD countries in 2022. The country was also the 11th biggest CO₂ emitter worldwide that year, having produced 1.5 percent of total global CO₂ emissions. As part of its Emissions Reduction Plan (ERP), Canada has committed to cut GHG emissions by 40 to 45 percent by 2030 from 2005 levels, on its pathway to net zero by 2050. However, achieving these targets has already proven challenging. "

https://www.statista.com/topics/9012/emissions-in-canada/

The way it is written is that Canada is a big polluter, but we only have 1.5 % of the worlds pollution. When you produce steel and cement (the prime ingredients in construction) you will make Co2. You burn gas you make CO2.
So to get to 2050 zero greenhouse gas emissions, you are killing steel and cement. So no construction industry.

You are never going to get rid of greenhouse gases. But one day we can develop technology so we can bind those gases somehow.

For now we need to generate economic strategy to get Canadians to a better point. This means more steel and cement now. More manufacturing. Use our natural resources to make plastics (not import from the US). Remember all those plastic shields at grocery checkouts during covid, yup made in the good old USA. That 4x8 sheet of acrylic/polycarbonate cost 150-200 in US, here in Canada cost 400-450.

The reason US giant stores (home depot, Walmart (china), Costco) are doing so well with low prices is the elimination of the middle companies. This is the main reason little stores can't compete with them.

I am all for building new solar, wind, hydro, geo-thermal, wave energy, it will take time to build up to it. In the meanwhile until fusion is available, nuclear fission with a CANDU or a new type of thorium reactor will help where hydro is not readily available (Alberta, Sask, NB, PEI, NS and parts of Nfld.).

I remember going into a hardware store when I was young and you had all types of nails, screws etc in bins and you brought it by weight. Now you buy in boxes, which are way overpriced because of the packaging?? Nuts and bolts (fine and coarse threads) and other fasteners.

Should people nowadays want to do a project in their garage/workshop (if they have one), you usually have to special order parts or stuff, because they are not readily available in home depot or Cdn tire.

One of the ideas behind making a Tesla car, was that it had batteries. A lithium battery made the battery lighter.

The thing is you still need to produce electricity to charge the car. Elon main reason was the efficiency of energy transfer from electricity to battery to car drive was more efficient.

The problem is employing people. Some for the car, some for the electricity. Elon's great contribution to this is eliminating people from the workforce. Elon's great mistake is he dosen't care where the electricity comes from.

The hydrogen cycle: Electricity to water (produces H2 and O2 gas), H2 burns with oxygen, produces water, the water get changed into H2 and O2 again. Although overall it is a more inefficient cycle, I see it as employing more people, because there are more steps in the process. For longterm durability this seems better to me.

Canada needs more solar and wind projects to produce power. It also needs a nationwide commitment for electrical companies to buy excess electricity at their current rate for electricity. eg. you have solar panels on your house

Although with climate change, more adverse weather could be coming, so it might just be nuclear plants for more electricity. Thinking hailstones on solar panels... A windmill can be design to take a beating...

Toyota is going for a hybrid vehicle with a hydrogen fuel ICE with water injection. Along with development of solid state batteries. This could be good for heavy trucks and large vehicles and still give them lots of mileage better than EV (lithium ion batteries) now.

Canada needs to be self sufficient in foods, metal production including steels (and aluminum and copper), and process these into metals. Also need to revamp the pharmacy industry to produce drugs here in Canada. The more steel you make the cheaper it becomes.

Canada needs to produce more equipment for the military (ships- icebreakers, small fast attack craft, tankers, supply ships, new combat frigate, new destroyers and hovercrafts for far north operations for all weather conditions), (helicopters, heavy lift and rescue, Transport planes( medium to gigantic ), 5th/6 th generation fighters -250-300). (Army- new tanks, mobile artillery, drone defence vehicle (radar and missiles for anti air), newer troop vehicles, anti air missiles).

Process hydrocarbons for various fuels, make own plastics.
Use steel and cement to build new infrastructure like bridges and highways and highspeed trains.

Whoever gets in on April 28 needs to revamp the Canadian economy.... first thing I would do is turn off electrical power for 2 days. You could probably say that after hearing about the 51 state, that really fucken pissed me off. I don't care who said, its just that some republican shitheads keep repeating it. The Americans need to be taken down a notch and punched in the face for even saying that.
In hindsight I could always say America could become Canada's 4th territory. They won't even rate as a province.

And Canada needs to do more prospecting for rare earth elements.
Ontario/BC/Alberta need to open up a iron mine and produce pig iron. The raw ingredient for steel. Steel I beams, plates, tubes, rods, piping etc. Open up big forges to make heavy equipment in Canada again.

Not defending JT as I personally dislike him almost as much as his dad, but in that same time frame, COVID costs are in the mix. And the same general stats follow for the rest of the western world.
So yeah, he's a good fall guy.

Poilievre promises justice reform using notwithstanding clause, Carney talks defence

.......the Conservatives would reverse a Supreme Court decision that found it was unconstitutional to sentence people to consecutive life sentences.

Carney's Liberals promising to overhaul defence procurement with modernized rules and new defence procurement agency.

Carney is also pledging to help the Canadian defence industry grow and diversify its markets through international exports.

Singh, campaigning in Toronto promising to encourage provinces to fast-track accreditation of foreign-trained nurses......

https://www.biv.com/news/economy-la...standing-clause-carney-talks-defence-10519481

The notwithstanding clause as I've understood been employed by provinces. If federal law passes offending a province or territory, the local government may ignore new law five years. At the end of 5 years the provincial or territorial legislature may renew notwithstanding five years. If not, the federal legislation becomes law.
