MCGRAB

Allow me to explain.

Make America Great Again (MAGA), has spread to the great white north, in the form of MCGRAB.

As a result of Trump cleverly assessing Canada’s over-reliance on the US and their food, products, military, etc. for our lifestyle and very survival, his tariff threats have created a much overdue wake-up call for Canadian politicians.

The spill-over effect of all this when the dust settles is that Canada will go through a time of pain and decline (rightfully so by allowing the steady degradation of our own self-reliance). But then, we will emerge stronger and better as a result.

It seems a great irony that Making America Great Again at the expense of Canada and other nations, will also inevitable Make Canada Great in it’s wake. Yes, we will kick and scream along the way, but have you noticed how our federal and provincial politicians have awakened from their petty platforms and come out talking, collaborating, and even fighting together? Good god, if Canada and the Provinces all start rowing in the same direction instead of ceaselessly swatting at each other, there will be no stopping us! This is the gift of Trump’s existential threat:

MAKE CANADA GREAT RE-AWAKENING ARROGANT BEREAUCRATS

Everyone laughed last week when an EKOS poll showed Poilievre's support dropping like panties at the prom.

Now from Mainstreet Research . . .

Your statement is 110% correct! However, I strongly suspect when pushed against the wall, Canadian politicians will act like Columbia politicians. Rather than cause great hardship to the population, they will kiss the ring and not learn to be self sufficient. Politicians are typically afraid to take chances, or stir the pot. They love status quo. That is exactly the reason Trump is so appealing, he doesn’t care what nations he pisses off and he is not risk averse. Canada as well as other countries need a Trump type leader, but unfortunately many Canadians are identical to Californians, liberal to the core.

The cons are panicking for a reason. It's about where the polls are going, not where they've been.

I'm looking forward to the coming election, because this is the choice voters will have.

Carney: Harvard (high honours), Oxford (master's and doctoral degrees), executive positions at Goldman Sachs, vice chairman at Brookfield Asset Management, and governors of both the Bank of Canada and Bank of England.

or

Poilievre: Required 11 years to complete a flimsy BA at a second rate school, lifelong politician who has never in his life held a real job.

Carney will have to talk economics. Making jobs and bringing back manufacturing to Canada. Self sufficientcy for Canada.
-Most provinces have trade problems with other provinces because of export to the states (wine in BC and Ont), but the big one we have is electricity to the states. All the different contracts going to the states for the price of. Electricity is low in the states because of carbon buringing and less hydro in Canada.

As much as I don't like Trudeau, I won't vote for PC because PP is not capable.

If Carney wins the leadership, and he gets the liberals off:
1. Giving money away to the Aboriginals (actually about 2X budget of the Armed forces);
2. Get rid of woke shit policies; There are 2 bathrooms; 1 for dicks and 1 for women, your 3rd choice is the handicap washroom.
3 Transitioning can only happen after legal age of child, and they have to pay for it themselves;
4. Tax Aboriginal land and income on reservations, make them feel more Canadian by paying taxes;
5. Stop funding multiculturalism, if communities want to put on events, then they pay for it themselves.
6. More funding for health care, more doctors, more nurses, support staff,
7. Old folks home-more regulations, more care, more programs.
8. The need to rethink how minerals are mined and taxed in Canada. Once our minerals are gone, what is Canada worth then?
9 Limited Arctic drilling for oil and minerals.
10. Open up the northwest passage. Double bottom hulls and insurance/bond brought in Canada for any ship going through the NW passage (for enviromental damage)
11 Build more and better icebreakers, more equipment for up north
12 Pipeline east and west and more fracking towers to produce gasoline and plastics from heavy crude. Requires big investment in reclaiming/recycling waste and toxic waste.
13. Go big on recycling of plastics.
14. Lower tax burden for middle class people, simple tax rate, no deductions. tax rate of 22% fed, and 7 % provincially.
15. Mortgage and debt rates have to go down or change to simple interest, in order for people to pay off their debt.
16 Spend more on military up to 4% GNP.
17 Bring business tax up to same tax rate as personal tax rate (somewhere in the 30-40%). Bank will love that on their profits.
18. Large bonds up for mining in case of toxic dump sites....

Pls make me the next finance minister, every one will get fucked equally.

I watched an interview with carney and I liked him a lot. But I’ll still be voting ndp. And no matter who gets in, I’m sure my life will continue on as it always has. Would be nice if somebody fixed the affordability problem tho. And not for me. I’ll always be fine. I’m the queen of landing on my feet. But it’s ridiculous to have single moms with 2-3 kids having to live in a 1 bedroom apartment. And I hope social programs survive if the cons get in.

There needs to be a solution to dead-beat dads.

I don’t think that’s a dead beat dad issue. It’s a ridiculously expensive rent and groceries issue. In my neighborhood whole families live in 2500$ a month 1 bedroom apartments. Even people on the poverty line should be able to afford a bedroom for themselves and their children. Children can share. No biggie about that. It’s a pipe dream probably.

I’m grateful I was a kid in a decade where my parents were poor but i always had my own room

now go look at his words, actions, on the delusions of the Carbon Tax, Greening the economy

then go listen to actual Brits about his visit there as governor there, it wasn't good

then ask him which country he's really loyal too, Canada, UK, Ireland?

he's an elite moron, who's got no sense of what an average person deals with everyday

he's shown that with his words, actions

he has no political experience, a seat, never held office

and his time in Canada, he left before his term was up at the BofC

and he was showing his partisan LIberal tendencies while he was there, highly unethical for someone who was supposed to be non-partisan

he's just another useless LIberal, just like the Turd

actually he's more like the Turd than the other waste of skin candidates running for leader

so it doesn't bother you that they have the most useless leader?

who's already come out and said he might not keep his word, again

might be bribed by the new Liberal leader

even when Canadians have clearly said they want an election, over and over

and social programs you mention

they clearly aren't working, based on your own statement about single moms

reality

your NDP is part of the problem, never will be the solution, specially with Jimmy Singh

they need an enema just like Canada/Liberals

Lets go for a minority government... These tend to work for all Canadians.
Either way, you will see a tax increase (fed tax min 25% with cut of tax benefits, over 100,000 tax rate goes higher), increase in GST to 6%, Business tax up to level of income tax. Probally see an decrease to social services (basics stay- house and food).

Education - tax non public schools at a 15-20% rate. That money goes back into the public system. this is another tax on the rich as only the rich send their kids to non public schools. Higher standards set for graduation and college entrance...... Our high technology that we have today, you should know what is behind it, and so should your kids.
Banks are limited to making 25,000,000 a year in profits, or face increase in on money over 25,000,000.00. flat rate of 25%, increasing by 1% per 10,000,000 over 25,000,000. Banking fees will be eliminated because there is no need for them.
Government auto insurance will go up by at least 5%.
Bigger emphasis should be placed on public transport. Cities will need to have plans to accomodate these changes.
Tax Reservations and income tax for people that live on reservations. About time they join our pain in paying taxes...

Mega Projects will have to be started:
1. High speed trains between all major Cdn cities. Electric. like the #1 highway across Canada to cut down on air transport.
2. Bring back the death penalty for murders and drug dealers. Steal their money legally. Profits of crime. (thought I would sneak this in here!!). Clean out prisons of murders. Bring back chain gangs to produce roads or railroads in Canada.
3. Oil pipelines to east coast. A northern pipeline too.
4. Drill for oil in the Arctic.
5. Recycleable materials especially plastics. Major collection for all Cdn cities, Have to deal with all that toxic waste and plastic (90% of plastics are non-recyalbe or so its said)
6. Mining resources. At least a 30-40% surcharge for mineral sold, not including profits the company makes. This money is kept in non-touchable slush fund.
7. Increase in winter veggies, require a commitment to hothouses in rural areas. Sure won't fit them into cities.
8. Stoppage of all land from going condo, especially if the land had a farm

The problem is you have to take the money and power from the rich, and redistribute it to the middle class.
1. Simple interest rates for mortgages not compound mortgages put 2-3X the amount of money into a persons pocket instead of going into the banks profits.
2. The rich control the government through their lobbyist groups, so all bill and laws favour the rich or the big powerful companies. So eliminate lobbyists.
3. Industry can meet high environmental standards, they just don't want to spend the money on it; cause it causes loss of profits for the shareholders. Its all about profit and not about people.

Shit if Germany could pull off a economic turn around in the 1930s, why can't we do that today? Just have to change our thinking that the rich/banks aren't going to control us through our paychecks/bills/mortgages.....

your opinion on the ndp is very biased and not quite based on fact. But I don’t really like to argue politics. I actually don’t care who people vote for.

My whole adult life, it has gone back and forth between liberals and conservatives (or some variation of that) and it probably will do that until I die. Caring about it besides voting and volunteering once in a while seems like a recipe for unhappiness lol.

Arguing about it or trying to change peoples minds who’s minds are already set seems like a perfectly good waste of a lovely rainy day. 💕

The same place you are: PERB
And no matter who gets in, I’m sure my life will continue on as it always has.
As a sex worker on a sex worker forum I’m surprised you’re not concerned about his involvement with the travesty that was the federal cons meddling in sex work laws pretending to make things better but actively making things worse.

And how that won’t change if he’s elected.

I’m 100% powerless over people places and things. All I can do is vote, volunteer, share my opinion, and hope for the best.

How does worrying or freaking out solve anything? Worry is never the answer unless you like premature aging lol.

my personal life probably won’t change much no matter who gets in. I’ve worked in places where sex work is very illegal. I’ll survive. But I also don’t think Canada will ever go to the puritanical extremes the USA does.

it's not opinion, nor biased

Jimmy Singh has repeatedly posted on the internet

his words, actions are clear

only the devoted would think otherwise, it's the same with his butt buddy the Turd, who's cult claims the opposite of reality

he's enabled the worst piece of shit PM we've ever had, probably ever will

for 2 years

and got nothing of note in return

all these delusions of "social" programs

people are in the worst situations the country has encountered since, well since WW2, the depression

he's made things worse, thinks he's made people's lives better, yet poll after poll, reality says otherwise

it's like our nationwide delusion

that we have

"free, universal, healthcare"

yet day after day, week after week, month after month, year after year, decade after decade

reality says otherwise

welfare for all doesn't work anymore than trickle down economics

the NDP/Jimmy/Turd's house boy, is welfare for all, so's the Turd

he been saying that his entire time as leader

he's a moron, and he'll still be a moron when he becomes PM, lol

he's told you who he is

just like Justin the incompetent

you don't need to hear it from me, you just need to re-read/watch/see what they've done in the last 2-6 yrs together
