A one hit wonder that’s used on many soundtracks. Thunderclap Newman produced by Pete Townsend. I believe he may have played bass on this track.

I put on Almost Famous for a late night soundtrack 👍

I am an enormous fan of somber, romance and other kinds of emotionally moving music. Little brother is a fan of some chick named piper rockelle and the piano version is just so lovely. Really something to listen to with a partner or up in a mountain idk I'm probably just a sap

I hope maybe I can play it to impress and emotionally move a chick lol

Joe Cocker

a classic
Saw Joe once. He was in his drinking phase. Too drunk to perform but the band tried to hang in there.
Then Joe puked on the front row of folks crowding the stage. Had to be helped off the stage and the band tried to keep going but it was all over.
Sure wish I could have seen him after he cleaned up. What a talent. The definition of Soul.

His boozing phase sure wasn’t pretty and it probably took 25 years off his life. I’ve seen him a few times as opening act for Tom Petty, The Guess Who and Tina Turner. He was the only singer I can recall who got a standing ovation as an opening act. His cover tunes are almost always better than the original artist.

First time I heard Brothers in Arms, the LP, was at my old buddy George's house in Calgary. RIP old friend. He was the consummate bachelor, living room was his, then, big TV mounted above his stereo rack with a direct drive turntable, NAD preamp/amp plus ancillary items cabled to two of the big JBL's against one wall. More or less in the middle of the room were two recliners with a small table between them, for beers etc. When I was doing my traveling thing back in the day I would stay at George's, pay for beer and pizza and expense that instead of a hotel. Anyway, it was a trip back in the mid 80's and George said sit and listen as he queued up the record. Wow!! Nothing quite like listening to the old productions on high quality gear. And that is Still one of those great rock records for the history books, after all these years.

Been a Playing for Change fan since Roger Ridley (RIP) did Stand By Me about 10 or so years ago.

Nina Simone “Don’t let me be misunderstood “.

It’s a recurring theme song throughout the movie “Nobody”.

Great rendition of the song and a great movie. (Filmed in Winnipeg for all you film buffs )
