I'd sure love to know what ol' Jim is up too....

Lettin Marky and tanev walk is one thing but to have toffoli sign at 4mill a yr over 4yrs is shameful..... He was more than willing to shell out on overpaid bottom 6s but not for a guy who showed plenty of offense paired with Petey

Then trading for a dman, who I get is good defensively but to have him at 6 mill oved 5 yrs ?... Why not have just make a play for Tory Krug.... Our pp would have Krug and quinn Manning the units...

The only conclusion, he's preparing the books for Petey and Quinn's new deal, which I'm assumin will be @ least 8-9mill per yr

Looking at the Cap shows they have 9.8M and if they do move Boeser that’s another 5.8M. So they will have roughly $15 going into next season. Enough to resign Petey and Quinn plus pick up another Forward too?

From what I’ve heard on the radio is the Canucks are not wanting any terms longer that 3 years. Shame they didn’t try harder to keep Toffoli who signed for 4M 4 years with the Habs.

Losing Tanev is tough but he is > 30 with a few past seasons of missing lots of games due to injury.

And we are still paying the Luongo Cap penalty of $3.5M. FU Bettman.

Dunno if they would need to trade Brock.... After next year, Edler, Sutter, Pearson, Benn, Sven all come off books too... . Then the Lou and loui deals come off following yr, another

That's almost 30mill for them alone.... Benning gave 4.3yr to Sutter ? but wouldnt give 4yr to Toffoli ..... Bergeron looks like a genius

Tbh, don't like the holtby deal either... His #s been down past couple years... Wasn't particularly good in the playoffs either
