I went and test drove the '09 Sonata and the dealer was asking me why I wanted to trade in my '06 Nissan Altima for a Sonata. I said that I had heard good things about the Sonata so wanted to try it out. I then went and test drove the '09 Camry Hybrid and was close to making a deal on the Camry but wanted to try an '09 Altima Hybrid. I was most impressed with the Altima Hybrid so settled for that.

I do know someone that purchased a '07 Sonata (brand new) and was very impressed with it (they came from a Chrysler Sebring), so it was a nice move up. For myself, since I was in a Altima, I decided to stay with the Altima. It kind of caught me off guard when the Hyundaia dealership started asking me all these questions about trading in my '06 Altima, so I didn't go for it.

I do know that the '07 was rated tops in safety and can agree. I also know people who purchased a '09 Sante Fe and are happy. So overall, Hyundai does make a good product, but it just wasn't my cup of tea !

No, got to go with my heart, wanted a GTI since high school. Have no idea why I have put it off for so long. Class of 88. I swear I must have a GTI before I die. Something about a small 4 cylinder turbo that get me going.
