The dodgers sale was the highest price fetched by a pro sports team. After doing abit more reading they factored into the deal the tv contract they're going to be able to sign. Problem being teams like the angels used their tv deal to sign pujols and Wilson whereas the dodgers are going to have to use their tv money just for the cost of buying the team. With what the last crummy owner did the value of the dodgers actually dropped from the figures I posted above. On espn some people value the dodgers even under a billion. They better hope johnsons pr magic really works wonders for them as fans hate the former owner (and he still owns surrounding land that'll profit from the dodgers).
