2 questions for the ladies - Age & Selfies

2 quick questions for any providers on here...

1. Most SPs ask for Age when fielding booking requests. I'm aware of some cases where ladies are screening out younger guys. I've also been told on a few occasions that an older guy can be preferred.
Question: what is the upper-bound range where a client will begin to get screened out? I personally worry about this because I'm nearly 58 and I did see 1 SP indicate she wouldn't accept over 60. Should I expect this more?

2. Recently to help counter screening from #1, I've begun to provide a selfie with some booking requests (because I don't look like a crusty old dude, and I'm hoping it helps). Does (or would) a selfie help during client screening?

The driver behind these 2 questions is my reacting to a scenario where 1 person I tried to book ended up (essentially) calling me a "creepy old guy". I've never had that happen before (or since) and it was very upsetting. Wondering if I'm going to run into this again.

Why be worried when you can go in happy to have the opportunity to contact someone you are attracted to or otherwise interested in?

A lack of response is on their part, not on yours, as long as your approach is informative and follows their booking process (provided they have one). Carry on your merry ways and always keep an eye out for people you believe you may enjoy 😇 Go with the flow~

I'm not sure if it would help with those who have posted their upper age limits, but it doesn't hurt to include an ID selfie rather than a plain ID card if you are already sending ID anyways. The example image I give for potential clients to refer to is an ID selfie rather than just an ID.

With how bad IDs themselves tend to turn out, I'm often happily surprised how much better guys look in-person compared to even their selfies. It's so silly 😂 There was exactly one selfie ID where I was like "okay that is really giving serial killer vibes.... Why is he in the dark?" but he looked a lot less so in his LinkedIn ✨

It’s more common in this business for people to have a minimum age than a maximum age. I appreciate gents who just screen themselves for me but I don’t want selfies. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and energy says a lot more about somebody than a picture. Pictures can also be altered, stolen, or airbrushed. They mean nothing. I’m sure if a lady has a maximum age it’s probably not looks based and she just doesn’t want to have sex with somebody old enough to be her Grandpa or whatever. Which is valid. In this business, I know it’s hard to not take things personally but it’s not about you and all about her. So let it go and find somebody who would love to frolic with you.

every provider is different and has their reasons for having age requirements or limits but mine is simply that I prefer gents older than 25 because I hate having to wonder the whole time if I should be IDing this person and also I just don’t have the stamina for a 20 yr old who’s drunk and can’t finish. . I also prefer gents younger than 60 because it would be weird being with someone the same age or older than my parents (they had me a bit older than most) or feeling like your robbing the nursing home as opposed to the cradle. . I’ve had countless men tell me they’re a “fit 55” when in fact they are clearly 65+ and I don’t appreciate being lied to before we even meet. There are of course exceptions but they’re few and far between and in the end it’s all about what I’m comfortable or uncomfortable with. Don’t take it personally hun it’s not you specifically you just happen to fall outside our specific comfort zone through no fault of your own.

So what I'm hearing is... you won't know if they have age filters/limits unless you try. And the worst I'll get is a ghost.

Sadly this doesn't help me much because... if I get ghosted I'll never know if it's because I failed to pique interest, failed in following booking etiquette, or made some other breach... which won't enable me to improve/fix any transgression I might have made.

Re: selfie
Part of the reason I've started sending them is preemptively to deal with exactly the issue you mention... my photo IDs contain pictures in which I look like a convict (in both my passport and DL). Reluctance from a client sending photo ID may not always be because they're concerned with the privacy. Sometimes it's because we're scared of how bad we look and being screened based on that. I always try other screening routes before falling back on ID. :/

Ivy... your tagline in your sig... that's what I say for all my bookings lol... When I introduce my preferences, it's literally "For me, it's about the journey not the destination... I don't rush, I savor."

Yep! There is nothing that will help you in this situation except for a healthier mindset that can deal with the silence of rejection.

Here's a cool recent thread with many perspectives around "never knowing what happened or why":

Your insecurity is valid, and the SPs who already decide not to see you due to your selfie ID photos definitely should not book you in. Trust, it could feel much worse than ghosting if they try to proceed despite their personal judgements.

More bookings for those who happily take you in and service you 💸 Reward those who appreciate you instead!
