Does it sound terrible to you? I just quit that shift, was doing it once per week every Saturday. No 1/2 break or even 10 min breaks, drove a airport shuttle. Good tips I will say that. wore compression socks and thigh wraps to keep the blood flowing cause I sat so much. Super easy to gain weight job, I don't know how airline pilots stay fit.

By the time 9p got around my soul wanted to be at home.

When I was younger, I used to do a lot of shift work. Sometimes the work was structured into 8 hour shifts, 7am to 3pm, 3pm to 11pm, 11 pm to 6am. The last two shifts were always tough. But I also worked 12 hour shifts, 7 to 7. Once I did 7pm to 7am night shift for 3 solid months training people. That was a helluva grind. But in my case, always lots of movement, stairs, etc.

Longest time I ever worked was about 24 hours and I was exhausted. Didn't make the money. Slept for 12 hours then. The nutty things I did in my youth to get the job done. But I have also driven for 16 to 17 hours at a time. Not that is really crazy and unwise to do.

I used to do some crazy shit as well.
Worked 12 hour shifts, days/nights. That definitely took it's toll over time.
The worst thing I did was to work a 12 hour night shift and drove for 27 hours after.
It's shocking what you can tolerate when you are determined and stubborn, and downright stupid. I did the work and drive 20+ hours thing about 5 times.
The key for me was to not eat. I growling stomach kept me awake.

Operation of a transport vehicle for that long without breaks is illegal, i hope it wasnt your employer who said no breaks.

Even then, i'd have to ask why would anyone structure the job that way , or want to do those shifts? Boggles the mind how much we cattle-tow for 'bosses' sometimes.

In WA state, if you and the employer both agreed on lunches than they can be waived completely. The down time when I did not drive customers was considered breaks. But mentally you were never on break cause you have to listen to that intercom for a call and could not relax you mind. I did it for about 5 months. Towards month 4 I got sick of it.
As for specific transport job rules without defined breaks I am not sure of the legal WA state law, as I just did it once a week and said F it I will do the job.

they don't fly what would account for 2 weeks worth of work a month 75-100hrs

plus with those 2-300,000/yr salaries

I'm pretty sure they can afford a trainer

Is cattle-tow the PC/woke version of cow-tow to be inclusive of cows, bulls, steers, and heifers? The saying is kowtow, which has nothing to do with cows or cattle.

4 / 10’s ……..3pm-1am, 3 days off 4 on, loved that shift but it really turns you into a night owl, the extra shift pay can be spent on your favourite expensive activities letting you still bring home the regular slab of bacon😁
