After I received a very unsavoury email yesterday from a potential Vancouver client being quite mean and irate about my Vancouver rates versus my Victoria rates, I wanted to share my breakdown with everyone.
And also, because the vile abuse I received, is not at all fair to me or my mental health.
I believe in transparency so please take the time to read and RESPECT my words and choices.

Let me break down my touring rates so it is transparent for you and you can understand why they differ like they do....

My Victoria rate is usually $400/hour in Victoria but because of my low over-head and low-volume approach to this line of work, I have the ability of offer a reduced rate plus a gift card to help fundraise for my local animal shelters.

When I tour, I have to have someone look after my animals so they go into kennels when I am away, as they too need care and attention when I am away.

Hotels, Airbnb’s, flights and car rentals have become outrageously expensive since the pandemic ended and when I tour and average week in Toronto runs me about $3,000-3,500 in expenses alone, Vancouver is close to the same.
Here in Victoria my overhead is minimal.

Here in Victoria own the condo that you are invited to, I own the car I drive into town to meet you with and I don’t need to eat out everyday because I am not on the road touring to meet lovers, and my animals don’t need a caretaker nor do they need to go into kennels, plain and simple.

So please don't send me messages asking why you can't pay my Victoria rates when I tour, it simply is in bad taste and in no way fair to me. If you don’t like my touring donations, I happily encourage you to take time off of your world and use your own money to travel to me, like so many of you already have!

lastly, if you have nothing kind or nice to say my way, please don’t contact me…
I’m shocked at how horrible and rude strangers can be in this line of work.

The world is going down at such a fast rate, it takes nothing to be kind and respectful to one another…

Please try to practice happiness and not hate.

Unfortunately I won’t be making it to Vancouver today to start my tour.
With severe wind storm we are having, Harbour Air and BC ferries isn’t running today…
So I am unable to make my way to the mainland.
I will be delayed for my Vancouver arrival until tomorrow, January 10th.
Mother Nature decided I am needed in the island today.
