Not sure I understand the logic. Why would carriers care what phone is being used? Useage is useage, and they get paid for network useage regardless of phone.

It's a Maxwest Neo flip phone. If I use the new card it says I'm on 4G, but none of the networks available use the frequency the phone uses. Access point has a list, but even when I select Speakout from the list, it refuses to connect. I suspect, because Telus doesn't have a frequency my phone...

Apparently my phone isn't compatible with Chatr's network. And it'ss not about the money - it's about most plans needing payment by CC, and loss of anonymity.

Impossible to get ahold of anyone at Speakout. They don't answer emails, and the phone lines just tell you they are very busy, then disconnect.

I got a call that my free 4G Speakout sim was in this morning at my 7-eleven, and now my phone is now disabled on the 4G sim. Still works on the 3G. My network choices on 4G are only Telus, Koodo or Public, and nothing will connect, obviously. My old 3G sim shows networks - Speakout, Rogers...

In my years of pooing I've never had any SP ask my relationship status. They have asked what I do for a living. I don't care about the SP's personal life, and they don't care about mine. Small talk is about the weather, travel, sports or pets. Nothing personal. Nothing political.

Had it confirmed at my local 7-11 they are waiting for 4g sim cards to be given to customers that need them. They took my number and said they'd call when they come in.

Does your display say you're still on 3G? Mine is a 4g phone and still working, but display says I'm still on 3G.

Seems strange marketing from Speakout if they are continuing to offfer service, since all their communication was directing customers to Lucky.

Thanks. That sounds encouraging. My phone is 4G VoLTE compatible. Hopefully my phone can be migrated over onto the Speakout frequency I've been using. Strange there isn't anything about this on their website that I could find.

Went to get a Chatr sim and plan, and was told my crappy Maxwest Neo won't work on Chatr, and isn't supported by most networks. Had that confirmed at another mobile place. Will keep pursuing some solution.

Now I'm confused. My phone is also 4g compatible, but it still shows I'm on the 3G network, and everything is still working as normal. Why does the sim card make a difference?

SP looks all right, service is provided, but what would make you not rebook? For me it would be attempts at upselling, bad smells (including smoke or garlic breath, but especially below the waist), rushing the service or indifference and rudeness.
