Polievre has never had any significant job experience, he has leeched off the taxpayers for over 20 years while achieving absolutely nothing. How anyone can support him or a party so bereft of ideas that they elect him as leader is beyond me.

Carney has infinitely more knowledge of economics and geopolitics. The two aren't even comparable.

Have any of you had this experience in university? I finish grade 13 ( yes, long ago) and got a medal for being top student and 4 honour bars. Pretty smug. Get to uni and right away meet a couple guys who are clearly an order of magnitude beyond me. That's how I felt when talking to Carney.
That first year of university was humbling. Mind you the overall environment didn't really lend itself to serious school work with all the incredibly hot and available co-eds every where.

But yes to westwoody's point, there are so many people out there that move in different circles and its apparent if you are in the same room as them. Not to mention a specific name but a few years ago I had the chance to sit beside a well known Canadian musician on a Vancouver-Toronto flight, he has sadly now passed away. The conversation flowed and without a doubt in my mind this man was orders of magnitude beyond typical with his breadth of knowledge and overall understanding of how things work, his take on pretty much any topic. This was way beyond being well read, this was genius. I felt so much smarter sitting beside that guy and so much less smarter when he left my side. The real geniuses have that effect!! And throwing in on Carney, I figure that is the effect he has on most people, that or sheer intimidation. His Davos and EU speeches are going to be referenced for a long time.

It's like you think your kid is good at hockey. Well, there are a thousand better.

I challenge anyone to give an example of PP making an insightful statement or displaying creative intelligence.

I am old enough to remember the first Trudeau, and the second was even worse. I liked Paul Martin, have come to like Chretien only after he left politics. I have never been a fan of the liberals, but Carney is earning a lot of my respect. I like what he's doing and how he's doing it. More politicians need that kind of background, decades of real world experience, then enter the political scene. Too many of the current crop, including PP, doesn't know how the world and business really work.

Bizzaro World eh?-
Cons pick a leader who has never had a job and has sponged off the taxpayers all his life.
Liberals pick a Wall Street fund manager and bank governor.
And Harper endorses Carney’s trade strategy!
Coming soon, Greens pick an exec from Dow Chemical?

I agree, but I'm not so sure about the Greens and Dow.
