Dimsum Filming: Worth It?

Depends on your camera setup, but with enough cameras and maybe pov glasses 👓 would be top of the line and a different experience watching yourself, you get to re live the experience again and again

I filmed multiple times with my mirrorless camera and 2 phones but in the end I never look really back anything captured with my phones except for the very close up shots. Any footage from phones look too pale in comparison to my Nikon - an no, I'm talking about the latest iPhones.
My recommendation is to set up a proper camera for the whole scene and use your phone for close ups.
Is it worth it? ... Well then "who" in the video matters

This Spring and early Summer I did a whole series of long reviews that were all about filming with ladies from @Dimsum Official and @Asian Delight ... then I stopped doing reviews altogether, and got rid of some of my content the board. But these 12 are all filming reviews and should be still up. The review for Kim was not written as a filming review... but it was... and she started offering "no face"/200 to the general public after trying it out with me. She leaves town... I think tomorrow... anyway... so this is all water under the bridge anyway.

"Esther" and "Amelia" from XDS, and "Pixie" from Asian Delight are around longer-term. The rest of these ladies are long gone.

I also did film/photo sessions this Summer with other XDS models including the "China Eastern Airlines flight attendant" "Yanrow," Japanese ladies "Yoguchi" and "Hestia;" and Singaporean "Estella." All really hot results. All well worth it for the fairly modest filming fees, in my view.

I have done a lot of filming sessions... with ladies that advertise and those that do not... I just don't have the motivation to do these write-ups and share the experiences anymore. Perb is more butt-hurt bitching than constructive sharing... in my experience... and I am not really interested anymore. There are better ways to coordinate with likeminded individuals.

In any event... It is better for people to just get out there and experience it themselves... rather than read about what other people have done.

Having said that, if anyone wants to hear what I have done... I started out - two years ago - doing photos and short video clips with just a basic iPhone handheld.

There is a lot to be said for just going with an iPhone... particularly if the circumstances are... just you and her... in a dark condo room.

The real "revelation" I had with the iPhone was: keep the room dark. It's counterintuitive, but it works.

Compared to a "real" camera, all iPhones have a tiny little lens and digital sensor. It works well with a flash, but to say it "struggles' in low light.. is putting it mildly.

The flash icon on your iPhone will also not come "on" unless it is dark enough... so you end up taking non-flashed photos and videos that suck.

The way to do it is... get the room dark... throw your jacket over her red lamp if you have to... and flash all photos. Same with video. Make sure the flash icon is "on" for all videos, and it will project a white light "flashlight" while the video is running. This works pretty well, especially for POV. The thing is... having sex and taking photos and videos at the same time is a skill to be learned like everything else... and is not as easy as it might seem. The iPhone helps... as the screen lights up bright... the icons are easy to see... you can shift to video easily.. make sure you are not on some other setting, etc.

After my initial "iPhone" run, I started getting into real cameras... getting a Canon R7 and an R50 (basically "big" and "small" modern mirrorless interchangeable lens cameras) and that is what I am doing now... experimenting with a few different things. Multiple cameras on tri-pods, etc. I am thinking of getting a GoPro or similar now. I also want to shoot whole sessions just as the cameraman (no participation) but haven't quite got there yet.

Right now... where I am at is trying to learn to shoot decent stuff... handheld in POV... with a "real" camera with a relatively fast lens that is good in low light.... using a constant LED light mounted on the "shoe" (top) of the camera (rather than a traditional flash). For me right now... that would be the lighter R50 with a SmallRig P96 LED light and a Sigma 10-18mm F2.8 lens that is specially designed for vlogging on crop-sensor mirrorless cameras. All this stuff is available at Amazon... and all over the place.

I was thinking about starting a thread with a title like: "Erotic photography and filming: sharing notes, tricks, tips and gear." I have just been busy with other things. If people are interested in a discussion on filming... gear, etc. let me know and I will start it in the Lounge.

But on the issue of "is it worth it?" ... it is just a matter of... "Is it worth it TO YOU?' I am a life-long lover of erotic photography ... and I have captured a TON of just absolutely amazing stuff. No Filters (of the beauty cam/Meitu type). No bullshit. Just awesome photos.... and also video clips. It is all private. None of this is (or can be) commercial or for distribution of any kind. It is just a hobby. I love it. For me it is easily worth it. I have done photo/video as low as +$30 and +40 with XDS, and as high as +$300. For me it was well worth it. Others... it will vary.

The model makes a huge difference. Not how beautiful they are, but how "into it" they are. Advertised "Open face" is always a good start in terms of them being "into it," but not always.

XDS "Fara" was nothing short of amazing. Best filming performer that I have shot from the Chinese agencies. I hope she comes back.
XDS "Jiyoon" wore a lace mask, but otherwise was almost as good as "Fara."

Some people that don't advertise.... are also amazing open face performers. Others do advertise, but are terrible, wrap towels around their head and just want the money. It varies.

A good performer... even if it is "no face" ... I have done tons of great "no face" stuff... will make it an amazing and rewarding erotic experience. Women that aren't into it... and just like the idea of an extra... $60.. $100.. $200... $300.... yah.... it is going to be frustrating. Fortunately that is rarely the case in my experience with the agencies. Start with the Japanese "open face" ladies if you are new to this. It is a cliche... but nobody (other than "Fara") is as open and accommodating as a Japanese lady advertising "open face." Most of them are natural exhibitionists and extremely cooperative. "What happens in Canada, stays in Canada," seems to be their guiding philosophy.

How accurate are the photos for the girls from XDS? I haven’t had much luck with some of Asian agencies and accurate representation.

I also wanna hear what others would say but imo xds is to a certain degree more accurate than other providers.

But it also depends on if the photos are provided by the girls or taken by the provider. If photos come from the girl, they will be used across different providers when she is cross listed. Xds and other providers don't have control over this but in my experience xds doesn't go "that far" if you know what I mean

I feel like most of these posts are completely missing the point of the original question is "XDS worth it for filming". It's just a bunch of long winded answers about camera set ups etc not about the filming experience at the agency.

XDS pros are that they do offer the largest number of filming providers and can have some that are far more reasonably priced than other agencies. I've also never had a bad experience with a providers service there.

However, I have filmed with a lot of providers and agencies. I would say XDS is my least favourite to film with in terms of video footage for a number of reasons.

* Most incall rooms are very small which really limits you in terms of angles and getting good shots for how I like to shoot which is with a tripod.

* Every incall I've done the windows are usually covered in a way that isn't easy to open for natural light. This can be tape and paper over windows, curtains pegged shut, blinds taped etc.

* I have had providers there who are fussy about extra lighting/don't want the lights on.

All this results in my footage looking far worse than my other videos with agencies that have better incalls/lighting situations.

I have seen one XDS provider when she was here and while I found her attractive she was nothing like the pictures.
