Case 7: An old client who hasn’t seen Lucy in 6 years suddenly contacted Lucy and said, "I see you're still a busy lady. Are you busy today?" Lucy was surprised and thought he wanted to make an appointment, but he stopped responding. A few months later, he did the same thing again, leaving Lucy bewildered.

In Lucy's impression, he was a very nice client who enjoyed Lucy's massage very much and had a high evaluation of her service. Six years ago, he saw Lucy several times in a row, initially for 1.5 hours and later for 2 hours. He was very generous and always left extra tips.

You might say, maybe it's because he hadn’t seen Lucy for so many years, he wanted to test and see if Lucy would still respond and want to see him. It might be, but to be honest, Lucy didn't think this aligned with the persona of that good client in her impression. Lucy doesn't like being contacted in this way. She felt mocked, uncomfortable, and confused, which would only overturn the good impression left in the past.

Lucy had said that no client owed her a visit, nor did they need to explain why they had been absent for so many years. Clients come to see her because they need to, and they don’t come because they don’t need to. As long as they are truly good clients, they are welcome anytime.

So if a truly good client wants to see her again, there is no need to test or explain, just be sincere and go straight forward, because he has full confidence and knows that he deserves to be welcomed and treated well.

Case 8: He contacted Lucy after midnight or before 6am, asking, "Hi. Are you available?" Sometimes he was a new client, sometimes a repeat client.

This behavior is highly abnormal and strange. Lucy doesn't believe a normal, rational person would contact her for a massage at these times, nor does she believe a normal SP would be working at this hour.

This person is extremely selfish, self-centered, and inconsiderate of others' feelings. Furthermore, he is driven by hormones, his rational thinking is impaired. Another thing is that he completely ignores rules and manners, acts arbitrarily, and has no principles. The consequence of doing so is self destructive image, with credibility and reliability reset to zero.

A good client respects others' work and rest schedules. He will always contact Lucy at a reasonable and normal time. He gives the impression of being rational, mature, stable, tactful, and graceful.

Case 9. He was a repeat client who had previously behaved normally. However, a few days ago he suddenly contacted Lucy, saying, "Are you available right now?" Lucy tried her best to fit him in, but then he said, "Okay, sorry, I'm a little rushed right now. Do you have a 30-minute package?"

The sentence ‘Are you available right now?’ itself sounds forceful and rude. Lucy particularly dislikes this kind of last-minute notice, as she has mentioned several times before.

Moreover, his behavior was unreasonable. If he were truly in such a hurry, why would he contact Lucy for a massage? Massage isn't a rushing thing, is it? The underlying reason is his financial problem, not his time. He just wanted to enjoy a quick service for less money.

But the problem is, Lucy doesn't offer quick or cheap services. Her minimum charge is 160. People who prefer quick and discounted services are not her type of clients.

A good client is calm and composed, giving Lucy sufficient notice, having enough funds to pay, and having enough time to enjoy. He never haggles or belittles himself.

Case 10. When he contacted Lucy, he seemed uncertain about everything and kept asking questions. After finally made an appointment, he said he was already on his way, but strangely, he was still asking questions, being suspicious, or disappearing on the way.

This behavior is very strange and abnormal. If he was so unsure, why reached out and made an appointment? No normal person would text while driving. How nervous and uneasy someone would be to do so, completely disregarding traffic regulations and their own safety. This is not the rhythm of massage and relaxation at all. Lucy doesn’t feel comfortable with the behavior of constantly asking questions after booking.

In fact, most likely he was not a real client, but a game scammer who acted under the guise of asking questions. He neither intended to come for a massage nor had the ability to pay. He just wanted to go through the process for free and enjoy it.

A good client has already known something about Lucy and her services. He has very few questions to ask and only asks questions before making an appointment. Once booked, he comes with confidence and determination. Even if there are still some questions, he will discuss them after meeting Lucy. His attitude towards Lucy is pleasant and trusting.

Someone asked what a truly successful session is.

What if the session was completed normally and smoothly, and the SP made money? No, this is just a basic requirement that cannot be considered successful.

What if the client satisfied and wrote a positive review? No, in many cases the client did not write it voluntarily but was requested to do it, which is not a real review.

What if the client felt good and said to SP, “I'll come see you again next time.” No, many times he just said it and didn’t actually come back.

In Lucy's opinion, the true successful session is when the client said to himself in his heart after the session was over, 'Oh my goodness! I've never had such a wonderful feeling before. I feel I’m a fresh man. The money I spent was worth it. I can't wait to come back next time.' Afterwards, he really came back to see Lucy regularly.

Last week Lucy met a really nice new client who lives in Maple Ridge, just a few minutes away from Lucy, which is very convenient. When he contacted Lucy, his first text message was, “Hello, are you available early this afternoon? Or can look to schedule next week on Wednesday? Have been reading your perb posts and love all of the detail. Can really tell you care deeply for your work! Looking for 60-90 minute all-inclusive.”

He explained in the message his available time and the session he wanted to book. He didn't ask any questions about Lucy and her services, indicating that he had some understanding of her. All he needed to do was to schedule a time with Lucy, right?

Please note that he said he read Lucy's posts instead of her reviews, which made Lucy very happy because it showed that her posts are useful and have some influence. To be honest, when some clients said that they came to see Lucy after reading good reviews of her, she always felt a little puzzled because it's been quite a few years since there were any positive reviews about her. She had no idea where did they read it. Even if they did see it, it must be a very old one from 5-6 years ago. But it still seemed to work.

With his first text message as well as smooth and efficient communication, they quickly made an appointment. He came as promised, dressed in a shirt, trousers, and leather shoes, with a smile that was charming and elegant, seeming like just finished office work. Having good reviews is certainly not a bad thing. It can attract attention and promote business to a certain extent. However, it depends on the existing conditions and status of SP, as well as her reputation and popularity, right?

Summer flew by, and it's already late in the season. The weather is starting to cool down, and Lucy's vegetable garden has yielded a bountiful harvest. Cucumbers, eggplants, tomatoes, and peppers are hanging heavily on the vines, and her six Kohlrabi plants are thriving too. She harvests more vegetables than she can eat each day, so she has to think about and research how to store them—drying, freezing, or pickling? It seems like there's a lot of work to be done. Lucy found that growing vegetables can also improve neighborhood relationships. Her neighbor couple on one side of her house are both very nice and friendly. They planted a lot of things in the front yard and backyard, and they all did it themselves without asking Landscaping for help, which is very impressive. After Lucy started planting, she had much more communication with them, sometimes chatting while watering, and sometimes sharing vegetables and experiences. In the past 10 years, they didn't talk as much together as they did in one day now, and it feels really good and warm.

A few days ago, Lucy saw a particularly good repeat client. He first met Lucy in July, and Lucy had posted about him back then. This was his second time for a 1-hour all-inclusive session. Recently, a young new client’s behaviour made Lucy uncomfortable. What happened?

He came in for hair removal and a 1-hour session, which went smoothly. He told Lucy that the photos in her ad were amazing and he wanted to have similar photos taken. Lucy agreed, but on the condition that the photos could be used in her posts. He agreed.

So Lucy took a series of photos of him during the session. However, before he left, he asked to see all the photos. Lucy showed them to him. But he said he didn't like them and asked Lucy to delete them. Lucy deleted the photos right away, but he insisted on watching Lucy completely delete the photos from the trash, as if he was suspecting that Lucy would still use those photos.

Lucy was really uncomfortable with this kind of behavior for the following reasons:

1. He went back on his word, making Lucy's efforts futile.

2. Lucy felt distrusted and disrespected.

Without trust and respect, there is no basis for cooperation, right?
