It is no secret that there are other boards out there. Some members of those boards slag PERB for various reasons and claim that they prefer the other board(s) claiming that they are given more latitude there. I for one don't think that you build your case by tearing apart someone else.

I noticed today that for the second time in about 10 days the oh so fair leaders of the 'baby cow' board have selectively pruned a thread. What happened to the latitude?

Any board where the Mods review girls has no real credibility when it comes to asserting that it is better than another , no matter what they say there will always be the wiff of impropriety.

which 2 threads did they prune? were they threads about a "baby cow" paid advertiser in edmonton or calgary?

The mods on the baby cow (at least some of them) definitely lack objectivity. I`ve also seen them abuse their mod powers in situations where they were a client. Makes me grateful I live in E-town, instead of calgary, where most of the mods partake in the hobby.

Do you mean like..that there's a protected list here on perb?? if that's the case, i don't think we can say anything bad about the paid advertisers here. and i think there's a No Review list here where we can't post anything about wild rose.

I've seen plenty of times where they state they are somehow better ( I see it on C e r f all the time as well) when in fact they are as you point out nothing more or nothing less than what they are, Review Boards. They all have their good and bad points.

I remember reviewing a girl on baby cow from the no review place. They removed it at the studios request I believe (even though it was a positive review) and did notify about it. It's all good if the gal wanted a positive review removed. I had no problem with it and at least they were nice enough to inform me of it.

Interestingly enough the post was about a relative newcomer, CL Indy from Edmonton. I doubt any of the CAF mods would even know her, unless we have CAF mods from Edmonton

If a studio wishes not to be reviewed I support that (don't agree but hey it's their business right?) and deletion of such posts occur on both boards.

I believe CAF has a "Do Not Mention" policy on over-hyped celibritys such as Miley Cyrus, Paris Hilton. Kim Kardasian, etc.

I think they have some sort of a policy regarding not posting pics or anything to do with anyone under the age of 18.

Not sure that is why it was deleted, but there was a picture associated to the story.

I did PM chillman (admin) to ask why. I mean, it's a news article from the Vancouver Sun and the sole pic in the article is of a couple of kids faces. But he was rather highly irrational, angry and rude about it, without providing anything resembling a satisfactory answer (I doubt he even bothered clicking the link to the article). When I politely replied back, I end up with a lifetime ban.

In my experience, people who overreact that vehemently to some thing are usually ... well ... overcompensating for some closeted deep-seated feelings about that thing. Just sayin'.

The other board is seeing more activity. More actual reviews, less drama, fewer idiots and no gimmick posters. I hope the other place's Edmonton forums continue to get busier.

awwwww, that's too bad, especially since you were one of their biggest supporters. So now, you're stuck here on this board with fewer actual reviews, more drama, more idiots and all the gimmick posters in edmonton. Life can be sooooo cruel. btw, what will you do if you get banned from perb also??
