2010 Olympics: where is this influx of sex workers?

So one of the sub-threads in the media over the years is how a city hosting the Olympics gets flooded with sex workers from all over the world looking to make some money and capitalize on the demand...

I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas how our industry in Vancouver will be affected? I see one post of someone looking for somewhere to stay during the games (good luck, BTW!), but not much else on this topic.

I think the lack of space could be critical in this instance. If there's nowhere to set up shop on short notice, then how would coming here for 2-3 weeks be worth the plane fare / inflated hotel prices / hassle?

I was kinda hoping we'd get an influx of travelling "high-class" courtesans and maybe some of Asia's brighter stars instead of the usual veterans...

The asian micros will probably be full of new talent and many of the agencies will likely have visiting escorts working there.

The high track will likely see a boost, but the cops will probably be all over that one.

Apart from that, maybe the strip clubs will have some visiting girls who go on dates.

I agree. For this kind of action go to South Africa this summer. The soccer world cup will have a larger contingent of sex tourism.
