Talk about a talent pool to pick and choose from! That's one job I would've loved to have. Good Luck Team Canada!

and Team USA doesn't look too bad either–
I like their chances of upsetting the Canadians in the medal round.

and WTF is Pronger and Niedermayer donning the jersey?
this is truly favoritism by Yzerman, these old-timers are a thing of the past.
how's Pronger gonna handle Kane or Kesler coming down the wing with all
that speed? Pronger and Nied are liabilities.
I'd have replaced them with Phaneuf and Green.

Phaneuf isn't playing well, and is somewhat overrated. Green is piss poor in his own end...

Niedermayer is great talent and makes the game look easy like Lidstrom. Pronger would suck on a larger ice surface but is a good pick for NA ice/tournaments.

Bouwmeester is somewhat overrated...

Phaneuf is grossly overrated...

let's hope Vancouver hockey fans don't make complete assholes of themselves during this tournament like they did when Vancouver hosted the World Junior tourney a few years back...

Beverly Hills. In the Kitchen eatin' vittles.
Question?

For the Olympics are they playing on NHL sized rinks or do they modify the facilities to allow for Olympic sized ice surfaces?
I find that makes a big difference in terms of who you might choose to play.
I don't mind them taking Pronger (big, mean, excellent at getting the puck out) if the rink is NHL size but there is no way he should be there if it is an Olympic rink.

NHL rink, NHL rules.

I thought Bergeron was a big surprise.

I also thought Richards and Staal played themselves off the roster. Really can't argue with their talent I guess.

Still a powerhouse team. Will be interesting to see how well the young guys respond to the pressure.

How about Canada losing the World Juniors in OT? Lame!
Far from lame. That was a great game and the USA deserved the win. USA out played them the last 3 games they played and deserved the Championship. Canada played their hearts out and have nothing to be ashamed of........what a game!

I believe that GM Place will be modified to international ice size.
Gee, who would have thought that with all the hockey experts on this board, (are you listening bj and hunny just to name a couple) that they wouldn't know that it will be played on NHL size ice, but with international rules, ie no touch icing etc

Exactly, it was confirmed over a year ago that the ice hockey was going to be on an the NHL size ice, and I believe it was because of the cost.
