Is there a Solid Gold in Wpg? I used to go to the one in Minneapolis.... lots of sexy women there!!
There is a sexy girl behind the bar some nights...very heavy on the eyebrow pencil but she's hot in that scary kind of way...
I went there on a weekday evening. Nobody there, literally I was the only person there except the bartender and dj. Sat and had a drink for a hour or so, no dancer, no music playing even - was told that she probably wouldn't be dancing unless more people came in. So I finished my drink and left.

I'm not a big strip club guy, but I do agree, the ones in Winnipeg suck compared to those I've been to in other cities.
The best place for strippers in Winnipeg is Monty's on Pembina, Friday afternoons/evenings! Cheap drinks and free popcorn. lol

Sin City is still open but Robyn the woman who was managing it has moved over to Teasers...Superb is now doing the booking for Teasers as well...peeler palaces suck here....hardly peelers, hardly palaces...but, sometimes...especially with a large group around this time of year they can be fun....just know what to expect

A friend of mine who knows the dude at Superb said Teasers was allowing/using their waitresses to dance and do private shows. The waitresses were undercutting the strippers sent by Superb as well as offerring "extras" with their private shows that most strippers do not. Thus alot of the strippers were getting really pissed at Teasers because when they went there, they had to stay all night and sell private shows but because of the Teasers waitresses, they would be there all night and not make any money. Because of all of the complaints, Superb stopped supplying strippers to Teasers and all they had was their skanky waitresses.
A while back he told me he had heard that Teasers had been sold (?) and all the skanky waitresses were fired and they were back to using Superb and their ladies.
Regardless, I'm sure its all the same lame shit as all the strip clubs here.
I thought I was moving too. i still am but now not till the spring. Life happens.
Funny thing is I got hired for my seasonal job in both Calgary and here. It pays more in Alberta. But I think I'll tough it out here till the spring.
I recall hearing just after the new owner's took over, Independent artists from calgary had opened up shop right in the hotel. I used to dance there all the time and it was through Superb. But i had quit when the club had gotten sold.
I'd have been real pissed off too if I was competing with the waitresses. I do know that at one point the dancer's were made to stay all night and sell private show's. Except the feature dancer. You were required to literally bug the clients to death to buy a ticket. That's how the DJ's made extra money, they would get a cut off the private shows.

Yes it went right down hill when Sabino and Jerry sold it. I used to love that place.
Pretty much all true but the girls working there weren't any skankier than most dancers but they were really shitty waitresses it was kinda fucked up though they'd size you up when you came in and if they decided you weren't an easy mark or a coke slingin gangster every girl in the place would ignore you whether you wanted a drink or you did wanna get some backroom action. The one time I did go I ended up leaving after about an hour with all my money and the reason I went there was to see how much backroom mileage I could get but short of makin it rain Pacman style I couldn't get a single chick's attention and there were at least a dozen working.
Oh yes I have seen that since all the fabulous waitress's from before it was sold.
I felt invisible. Little do they know I can be a really good tipper. They are stuck up, snobbish and a few don't have the body to to be a stripper, but still runs on stage.
I loved going there and sitting up top where the DJ booth is and the waitresses not snob's at that time would know what to bring. The good old burlesque days. They are gone boys.
I know when I have a reg of my mine asking him to meet me at teasar's, my response is" what the hell for".
The stripping here in the Peg is pretty much fried. I can't say for everywhere, but I do know there is only one club in Calgary. A city with more then a million people.
I'm just glad I got to experience and enjoy and move on to finer things. Hmmm what's my next project? lol
