An open apology to Krustee

I've just noticed that Krustee's thread about the IQ of pornstars has been deleted. It could only have been deleted by either a mod or by Krustee himself. Unless I'm mistaken, there was nothing in the thread that would have made a mod blink, so I've come to the conclusion that Krustee must have deleted it. But why? I'm afraid that I may be to blame, and if that's true, then I must apologize to Krustee for driving him to delete his own thread.

You see, in that thread I thoughtlessly pointed out that Krustee had edited his own post in order to make it appear that he had obtained a higher score on an online IQ test - instead of the IQ 140 that he had originally claimed (which is plausible given how easy the IQ test in question actually was - I took it myself and got a 160+, but I don't place any significance in that because it's nothing more than a mildly amusing online test...), he changed his post to make it seem that he had actually scored a 160+ (in other words a perfect score). I now deeply regret pointing out Krustee's dishonesty. It wasn't until he deleted the thread that it occurred to me how hurtful that act must have been to Krustee.

In short, I apologize to Krustee. I am very sorry that I didn't stop to think about how my actions might affect you. I know that you're a sensitive soul, and I didn't mean to cause you any anguish by exposing your chicanery to the good people of perb, without whom I know your life has little meaning.

Yup - you're right it was deleted but not by me!

One could only wonder why a mod would have deleted the thread unless the mod himself took the test & acquired a much lower score than the others.

As for me changing my score yup I did!

Took the test a second time & got 160.

Not a difficult test as you say.

I have no need to hide as you so falsely assume.

As for you getting a 160+ I am surprised.

I think you probably just cut & pasted the HTML code with a revised number though I find that much more plausible.

Any amateur can do that as there was no discreet ID for each score just a link to a .gif.

Well, I certainly wouldn't want to accuse you of lying, so I guess I'd better just not say anything about your assertion.

Oh, my mistake. I didn't realize that you don't consider it dishonest to re-take the exact same IQ test in order to try to get a better result so you can try to impress people with it.

Why? It was a ridiculously easy online test. So easy, in fact, that I didn't even doubt that your honest score was 140.

You mean like you did? If I had actually cared in the slightest about the results of a ridiculously easy online test, and if I had been stupid enough to not be able to get a good score on it, and if I had been pathetic enough to try to impress people with it, then I might have done what you did. Oh, I mean "what you suggest might have been done." In fact, I clearly didn't do anything of the sort, since I never even posted any html code showing my score, because as far as I'm concerned, that test holds no weight whatsoever. If it's that easy to get a perfect score, then the test isn't valid. Further, there's no way that an IQ test that short could ever be considered valid, because statistically the results would be skewed by the percentage of people who would be able to get a perfect score by simply guessing. But don't let logic and common sense get in the way of the conclusions that you've jumped to.

Why bother? I've already said numerous times that the score is completely meaningless, and is IMO absolutely no reflection of what somebody's IQ might actually be. Besides, you've already revealed how easy it was for you to fake your score, so anyone would be able to post a fake score anyway.
