top three in the world??? really??

I'm not denying he has talent but if I was building a team from scratch there are a few players I'd want before him.

And he'll never be my first pick in a fantasy draft.
He may be a decent player, but I would rather take someone like Malkin or Ovechkin....

I don't think any of them would be a bad choice.
I mean, don't get me wrong, Pittsburgh did a great thing by signing Cindy - he renewed interest in Pittsburgh, a team that was continuously in the basement of the league, and helped lead them to 2 Stanley Cup appearances in as many years - I don't doubt for a second that he's gonna end up with a few championship rings on his fingers, but only if his team's not up against the Winged Wheel...

...but I still don't like the guy whatsoever... :D

The Wings are the New Habs.

They just keep getting better they not only have depth on the Wings but also depth on the farm. The scary part is they will get better.
18 straight years making the playoffs.
At the top or close to the top.
Players willing to stay for less cash (unheard of) except Detroit.
Free agents signing for less than other teams willing to pay.

They have had the best scouting team in recent history.

John Garrett, every dumbass media personality in Vancouver, and all the Nuckleheads, ( and we all know who they are) , would take the Canucks in six:rolleyes: ...

or seven...

I bet you would love him, if he played on YOUR team:rolleyes: ...
No, I wouldn't... I never liked the kid when he was in the juniors, I like him less now... whiny little bitches like that may get you the goals, but is it really worth it?

You've nailed it! If there's any one single item that has mostly contributed to Detroit's success then it would have to be their impeccable scouting that until very recently was led by the greatest NHL coach of all time, Scotty Bowman.

I guess I did when you referred to him with a girls name. He had 3 points last night and they won a lot more faceoffs as you mentioned. I'd keep Malkin out there as much as possible. That dude is unreal and even scary when he doesn't have the puck. His positioning and anticipation is awesome.
Cindy played well also. I think Detroit is showing signs of wear and tear especially Lidstrom.

We all know next game the shots will be 40-20 Detroit. So Fleury you got to steal a road game or its lights out.

I think that these two goalies will pull some serious competition into the Olympics in 2010-I don't that Brodeur and Luongo are the shoe ins.
